Just finished re-reading this fiction and I am still amazed at how much you put into it. A totally believable story line that is engrossing and emotional that just grabs your hand and takes you on a roller coaster. One of my all time favourite stories that I am sure I will return to when I want to escape from reality. Thank you for writing it

After a second reading through, this all seems too... easy? Would there be more proof needed to claim that Riddle/Voldemort indeed was cursed by a dark artefact and wasn't himself when he started a war? And shouldn't adoption process is, I dont know... more difficult, lengthier, more thorough?

Fabulous story! I got sucked into reading this when Ao3 was down recently, and really the story was simply wonderful. I love all the layers added and how Marvolo and Harry slowly grew to like each other/be less formal as father and son. I loved the addition of Marcus and, at first, questioned the desire to make him 5–I think doing so gave the story a more exciting twist than if he were older with more concrete thoughts. The choice for Severus’s wife was also super unique—making her a potion-loving squib was brilliant. I enjoyed the focus on therapy through Mrs. Goyle and loved that you made HP an artist rather than a teacher/auror or any of the other common Harry Potter careers. This last chapter brought me to tears as it really shows how close Marvolo and HP grew together (plus dementia runs in my family so that just hit a little differently—I don’t think a warning on it was necessary, though sometimes tears are good). And tying the two-fathers potion back into the end through Marcus was an excellent way to wrap it all up. I’m sad the story is over, but I will definitely be rereading it someday.

I like Mrs Wisby. Odd sometimes how a relatively minor character can become a favourite. Maybe it's just me. I have had house elves become favourites, an owl become a favourite, a non-magic school teacher as well become a favourite.

But yes, I really like Mrs Wisby. Great story, really enjoying it.

I usually read the reviews to give me an indication of wether to read the story or not. In this case I’m going to completely ignore them. It’s not a bad story, it is FanFiction. The writer doesn’t pretend to be Shakespeare by any means. It’s a decent read actually. Sometimes a bit long winded but not as bad as I thought it would be.

who in the hell would allow themselves to be taken in by their parents murderer in any capacity. you started this story after the 4th book and still thought this was a good idea. how? it's utterly ridiculous. the writing and grammar and plot planning are great but the premise is absolute dog shit. no hard feelings but this story should not have made it to 100k words.

I forgot how much I love this story! I am so glad I found it again. It's amazing how you were able to use the Vassal concept to explain why Marvolo had to kill, or have them kill themselves and it not be truly a negative thing. You did such a great job with having his compassion improve slightly with each horcrux he eliminated. It's one of the stories that just makes me excited to read again.
