| bookaddict19 chapter 3 . 10/10/2015 Fanfiction has Hadrian as often as Harold and Harrison. There is also the occasional Harcourt. Harry is also a nickname for Henry. There are probably others (you could perhaps check a baby name website since you might find names and also get the meanings of them if you want something with significance as well). :) |

And I'm finding the confused and creeped-out Death Eaters amusing. As for the name Harry it is also 'short' for Henry (it's the actual name of the current Prince Harry). I never got how it could be 'short' seeing as there are the same number of letters but it's due to it being the Old English version of Henry. |
| kz1812 chapter 3 . 10/10/2015 I'm loving this story, so far! I always much more interesting when Voldemort is not insane, but the genius he is supposed to be. As for names that can be shortened to Harry - I just recently watched an episode of a British mystery series where they had an old aristocratic family that by tradition always named their second son Henry, and it was always shortened to "Harry". I remember thinking then how interesting it was that I haven't seen any fanfics that use that name for Harry - it's always Harold or Harrison or Hadrian. I *am* quite fond of Hadrian (although I never quite bought that Hadrian can be shortened to "Harry"), but Henry also seems like the sort of name an old British aristocratic family would be happy to use, doesn't it? |
