![]() ![]() ![]() It was... good. Loved the end... But I think I will avoid Spud-U-Like for a while... I did actually sing the song... |

![]() ![]() well GLaDOS kissing gordon out of boredom and wanting to experience it reminds me of asuka from evangelion when she kissed shinji for the same reasons though without the sciency bits paalam! :D PS:extra points if you know what paalam means |

![]() ![]() Hilarious and great story Thank you for making it |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yeah, Newton was definitely the "r/iamverysmart" type of person. I respect things he did, but not who he was. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I would think that he would at least use a less common substitution cipher, if he's going to go with a simple one. ROT13 is probably the most common, and so therefore the only one that could reasonably be sight-read easily. Just... like... do ROT12 or something, and his problem is solved. (For my own basic cipher purposes, I have a "language" which is really just an alternate alphabet that I learned to read. I made it into a font so I could practice understanding it, and it works great.) |
![]() ![]() ![]() In case the "Oh my god, I'm two-dimensional" thing doesn't make much sense (or just sounds random), the fact of the matter is that wormholes in three dimensions, to our current knowledge, would necessarily have to have three-dimensional openings. While some have explained away the way portals work in Portal by saying that the openings ARE three-dimensional, but just very thin, this is far funnier. And a rather intelligent joke. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yeah, the carrots thing was actually a myth started to explain why (British?) pilots could shoot down German planes so accurately in WW2. And to hide the fact that radar was now a thing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() The reason that many people, including myself, liked to believe that she was the daughter of Caroline was more to do with the thematic power behind it. It would more easily explain her random want to kill you in Portal 1, despite you still being a functioning test subject that had proved to be intelligent. (Getting rid of something that gave you conflicting emotions is normal among the insane.) And it makes the reveal and GLaDOS' release of you that much more powerful, as well as the turret choir at the end. Though I do have to ask where was the information that a different Bring Your Daughter to Work Day was when GLaDOS was brought online? I just assumed it would be the same one, otherwise they might have cleaned up. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yeah, it would be pretty weird if GLaDOS got put into a potato and attacked by birds if she never went (entirely) bad in the first place. And yes, it does also make sense for a Chell friendly with GLaDOS to be given a way to speak. Though personally, I preferred when I thought she stayed silent throughout Portal 1 and 2 solely out of spite, and wasn't actually mute. |
