I liked the little history lesson between the muggles and the magicals but I find the whole wand arc just unbelievable to a reader, I mean first harry trying to decide what to choose for a wand core when readers know that wizards can't choose their own cores because if that were true most gryffindors would choose dragons and slytherins would choose snakes and blah blah blah

second theirs more to making a wand then just getting a piece of wood and gluing the damn core because if that were true you wouldn't purebloods buying wands the same place mudbloods do if they can make it themselves

lastly just because harry is using the same core as the death stick doesn't mean it will be as powerful as the death stick since the original was created by death

all in all I rate this chapter 4/10 for all the wrong info

Another very good chapter.

His little "shopping trip" was very amusing. First, finding an appropriate yew tree not guarded by a protective wizard. Then, travelling halfway around the world to where there are thestrals not guarded by the wards of Hogwarts.

I like how he had a muggle craftsman make the wand. Even though he obliviated him, he was considerate enough to set some warning wards in case another wizard approached him.

The best thing of all is that he has a better connection with this wand than he ever did with his old one. Can't wait to see just what he does with it.

Payback's a bitch, and those who wronged Harry will soon come to learn this.

This has been a VERY interesting start, quite different from other do-over fics.

Did Harry get dumped at the Dursleys simply because his parents were assholes, or were they influenced by Dumbledore? Either way, both Dumbles and his "family" are in for some serious payback when Harry gets up to speed.

Can't wait to see what you've got cooking for later chapters.
