Reviews for Chuck vs The Butterfly Effect |

![]() ![]() YES! Great update. Loved that Bryce got his ass kicked, hate that a-hole. Can't wait for the next update. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Hopefully Chuck will see through what she has to tell him and let her know that he'll wait for her. Can't wait to see the douche get torn to pieces when Graham is made to see the truth about his motivations. Thanks NB: I know you haven't made any promises, but sooner rather than later would be nice ;) |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great chapter. Good ole chuck saving the day, nice. Not sure where or how Sarah/chuck go from here but it will be interesting finding out. |
![]() ![]() I was kind of hoping that Casey was NSA and doing his own investigation into Roark. As of this chapter you can still do that. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is developing so nicely, great pacing of the plot. Love how you have all the characters' tones right on even though they are slightly different. Of course I prefer Chuck & Sarah kissing, but I will try desperately to be patient :) Excited for more! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, this is turning into a 15-round, heavyweight battle...not to imply Sarah Walker is heavy...I mean come on, look at Yvonne...but you get what I mean. Anyway Sarah definitely had the advantage in the early rounds. I think she surprised Walker with some strategies and tricks that Walker was not ready for. Sarah's corner, consisting of Chuck and Ellie, really gave her the early advantage and Walker staggered a little. However, Walker recovered very quickly and decisively. Her corner, consisting of Bryce, Graham and the only life she has ever known, have shown her how to throw up that wall and defend all of Sarah's attacks. In the matter of moments, Sarah is staggering and has taken some heavy blows to the gut and head. Will Sarah get a second wind? We'll find out. As for the story. There are some key moments in this chapter for Chuck that I really like and show his progress as a confident adult. The scene with Bryce and Sarah revealing the truth was huge for me. Yes, Chuck cowered a little. But Chuck would, not only out of fear but also because he would believe that he did wrong and that Bryce had every right to be upset. And Chuck would not fight Bryce in front of Sarah. But once he found out the truth, I loved the way he stood up for himself. Sarah MUST be realizing that she created this person. Amidst her shock and disappointment, there must be some pride and admiration. Another great chapter. |
![]() ![]() love the story please keep it coming. Thanks Tshadow |
![]() ![]() There were two things in this chapter that really stood out to me: The first was when you had Chuck throw out the line "Theres nothing you can say to fix this" at Sarah as shes looking for a way to explain things. This is such a strong moment in their confrontation because theres so much meaning behind it. Her job has damaged their relationship at its very core and with one fell swoop shes lost his trust, his friendship and potentially his love. For a character like Sarah, whose just getting her first taste of a real life, this would be a crushing realization The second was Chucks reaction to finding out the truth, which was a far more honest response than what the lighthearted tone of the show allowed. Even though Chuck would never hold Sarahs actions in the pilot against her (she didnt know him and had to assume the worst), you have to believe that he was still embarrassed and hurt...probably blaming himself for believing she liked him The deception in your story runs deeper though, even with their relationship being relatively new, theres already been an emotional bond established. There was no way Chuck was going to see this as anything other than a betrayal, and his response to that pain was natural and believable...both in the way he stood up to Bryce and Sarah, and also in his immediate reaction after they left ...thanks again for another great chapter, I really am enjoying the hell out of this story |
![]() ![]() ![]() Chuck's anger and hurt feelings are completely understandable. What I hated to see was his fear of Bryce. He had become a more confident man and all of a sudden, he's cowering in fear. Sure the situation was a shock but I feel he could've handled it way better. Sarah's defense mechanism of showing her cold mask and not showing any emotions was a bit annoying. Sure she explained why she acted that way (in that one sentence) but she should've shown Chuck something to prove that his assumptions were wrong. Bryce was ughhhhh. Butting in on everything and acting all clingy with Sarah and not letting her have any time alone with Chuck. Keep up the good work. Can't wait for next chapter. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Wow, great stuff! I'm not much for angst but this was justified! What Sarah did was horrible and he had every right to be pissed off! Now let's get these two love birds together! :D Update soon! |
![]() ![]() Great update love the direction the story is heading. Bryce is a dick , love that. Hope you update soon! |
![]() ![]() Listen, you're doing a nice job with this. Reminds me of something Grayroc would do. This story is a throw back to the golden age of Chuck fan fiction. As Casey would say, "Don't screw it up." |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you this is the route I was hope you would take. The band is back together! Thank you! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Probably the best chapter of this story so far. I really liked it. Love the fact that Chuck basically threw the new Chuck that Sarah helped create right in her face. She betrayed him and unlike the old Chuck he wouldn't back down from confronting her. Obviously Bryce is a roadblock she needs to get around, not in a romantic way but in a professional way to get the chance to be honest with Chuck at least on some level. Bryce is a threat career wise she can't afford to ignore. Can't wait to see how they go from here and if they get that moment to finally actually be honest. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you for this chapter and continuing with this story. I felt Chuck's reaction to the situation was realistic. Neither too accepting or too angry. I hate to see our two favourite characters at loggerheads but with the promise of a happy ending I will gladly continue to read your very well written words. |
