What do you mean there's 36 more chapters?!

Small continuity thing here, at the time Chara goes to Mt. Ebott, there wasn't any legend about those who climb the mountain never coming back; that story didn't come about until after she fell down there.

Switching between timeline perspectives mid sentence was a nice touch.

"Toriel had tried so hard in each timeline to keep them from leaving the [RUINS], to keep another child from dying."
Pfft, hardly. She could've escorted any one of those kids to the barrier herself if she /really/ wanted to. Instead, she just let them go on their own, didn't even bother to chase after them. She's just as guilty as Asgore; she just pretends that abandoning her duty to her people was for some noble purpose rather than so she could avoid the blame for not having a better plan to save their people.

Not really a fan of the player being a character; it takes agency away from the main characters with actual personalities, but it's not that bad.

"GET OUT" and "Maaaaaybe" are my favorite lines from Chara so far. Shipping her with Frisk also helps too.

Jeez Chara, stop messing with Frisk's nails, it's making me flinch.

This is, hands down, the best fanfic I have ever read.
Even at chapter 14, I had felt like I had read an amazing story. And after that, it just gets better.

To make this review short (since I’m not that great at writing reviews anyway), this is a freaking amazing book. It actually made me shed a tear once or twice. Again, amazing fanfic and great work!

I. Freaking. Love. This. Story. There are no WORDS that would fully show how I feel about this story! So I'll just try to sum it up in a simple, it helped me recognize things, helped me figure out a few more, and I would hate to lose the memories of reading this story. Thank you.

Reading this FanFiction in 5 Days Fills you with Determination!

I have joined the Undertale Fandom just at the start of this month (I know, I'm Really late...) and I have gone through a great amount of fan works already and I would have to say this is the best UT Fanfiction on this site!

I originally started to read the fic and reached the 3rd chapter and read the part with the books the like I thought that it was going to be some dumb spin or something like that so I dropped the story.
The like a week or two later I was going over fics that I haven't finished and saw this fic again. I then saw how popular it was and like a true Papyrus I decided to situate myself within the popularity. And giving this thing another shot was no mistake at all!

This fic hits all the points in my book for an incredible story, INCREDIBLE CHARACTERS!, a stunning and drawing plot that is fleshed out and a more than satisfying ending!
Talking about those parts...

THE CHARACTERS
Your characterization is the true highlight of the story, it stands out the most and is soo captivating! The characters feel like the characters form the game including Chara and especially Frisk considering the game gave us next to nothing about their characters. The interactions between the characters feel so real that I can feel it! They work off each other soo well and it really entertaining to read. This was just top tier characterization and I can't say enough of how much I love it!

THE PLOT
You plot pulled me in and trapped me! I love the path you took with including the player into the story, I was actually looking for a story with a real role from the player while reading it and got pleasantly surprised when I realized this story had that exact thing! These days I normally use the Fanfiction app and use the TTS feature to listen to stories so I can do multiple things at once but some points in your story left me frozen in surprise and shock at some of the plot-points and reveals. The tension at the certain high points left my chest feeling tight and my body stiff. Least I could say all the flashbacks and plot points introduced and delt with game me a feeling of completion!

THE ENDING
It resolved almost everything I wanted to see end and it none of it felt forces or unplanned. The very ending felt complete and didn't make me feel like I was in need for more. I only wish I knew a bit more on the player.

Hi! I just binged all of this, and it's amazing? And I'm so glad I read this, what a roller coaster. I love this so much. How do I even begin to explain this?

I love how you treated every character's mistakes, I love that even though they did terrible things they can still do better, I love that even though they did terrible things they were still accepted and loved. Their mistakes are treated pretty realistically, in that they can't take them back, and they'll have that guilt for a long, long while. But there's also that note of learning from them and doing better, and I love that. And their characterizations are spot on! You managed to make everyone three dimensional and interesting and complex, what a writer!

I love the ending. I love that despite everything, despite moments where it felt like it could only get worse, despite moments where it felt like there was no way this was gonna end okay, it did. I really love the ending, I think that chapter is my favorite!

Building on that, I love the themes of hope and forgiveness. I love that even though you can be a bad person, you can still be accepted, you can still change and fix your mistakes, and you are still capable of loving and capable of being loved. I love that even though you've been hurt, and hurt badly, and you'll probably have those scars forever, you'll have good days and you'll get to grow and change and and things will get better for you. And I especially love that despite everything, there's still a happy ending. I'm definitely gonna need to come back and read this on my bad days. A little determination and hope for all of us~

And finally, think you wrote this incredibly well. Pacing-wise, plot-wise, etc, it was all done really well! I was immersed, let me tell you. I had trouble coming back to reality, I was hooked. What a read!
