Discord did NOT gloat over Twilight's jealousy, thank you very much. He said her jealousy was a happy accident because she learned a valuable lesson from it, and admitted that he simply found it a little amusing that Twilight would try to recreate their weekend in the "name of science", which, I might add, was the most idiotic and thick thing I've ever seem her do, and even if Twilight did feel a little left out, I think she jolly well deserved what she got in the episode for being so intolerably arrogant, dismissive, idiotic and accusing.

I love this so much. The character dynamic here is absolutely perfect, and as usual you hit the nail on the head with what could be or needed to be retconned in the episode. Very nice!

Hey, very nice story here. Great job with Twilight and Discord, and you really did your research on how friendship, and relationships in general, usually work.

And of course Rainbow would defend Twilight regardless of power levels. After all, even Celestia has guards.

Discord might have gotten the point to Twilight at some point but I think he's also at fault as well as their friends so nobody's a winner. I still say they're all at fault; because Twilight decided to shut herself out from everyone because of what she thinks to be friendship spell cast over them and they just turned her down when she expressed her opinion on the subject and concerns for them. I still don't think Discord can change despite what we've seen in him; he'll always be a troublemaker through and through.

I have a feeling this conversation could go in the wrong direction if Discord takes it a step too far and Twilight's friends would be in trouble of nearly losing Twilight for a 3rd time not only from Twilight's actions but also for their unintentional call-outs.

They went against their friendship and the lessons they learned three times in a row and while Twilight was at fault for her jealousy and what I believed to be hidden lingering resentment for Discord because of his betrayal in the last season finale, Applejack and the others still haven't learned a thing from what I can see and Discord was taking things way too far to give Twilight the notion to shut them out while also hurting herself in the process.

Yay! I'm so glad you decided to write this! I have to admit, I was wondering what your take on that episode was. I think you really touched on all the issues the ep had, and gracefully so! I would honestly probably pay money for a full book on discord's theories of reality, hehehe. I can't wait to see what you write next!

Personally, I'm a fan of IloveKimPossilbeAlot's theory that he did to point out to Twi that she has flaws too.

You sorta did touch on that when you brought up Spike, but since Twi has the show writers unfortunate idea that nothing bad that happens to Spike matters, I mean, Twilight's so used to it, yeah, that's it, she promptly ignored what he was saying instead of considering it.

However, your they're more open/relaxed without Twilight around is a much more interesting idea character-wise. Like I said, I hope you continue this conversation, but then I like every last one of your stories. :D Update something soon please!
