I have been wondering this since the first time I read this story. Why isn’t Naruto using the toads to keep in contact with konoha like he should be able to. Don’t the roads have the ability to report things to the Hokage? You could have also made it so Sakura was signed to the slug contract if she wasn’t already signed to it to keep in touch as well.

Would make it a bit easy to keep those that cared about them from getting worried about there safety and get info if needed for things.

Also, I ADORE Hinata, so NaruHina is kind of a given. That said, I'm honestly a bigger fan of NaruHina Harem, so this works.

Strictly speaking, Konoha isn't a military dictatorship. The Hokage needs to be ch9sen by the council, doesn't have unilateral power to rule by decree in all cases, and isn't above the law. Sure, it depends who is in charge, but by and large, the Hokage is more like a shogun in practice than a full on dictator.

No, m9st Hidden Villages would be classified as a stratocracy, or military run government since Hidden Villages are effectively city-states run by their larger parent nation's armed forces.
