Masterful stroke. As soon as I saw that perspective change and the strange monologue I was like finally that third party I've been waiting to see. Just from the way that last scene went It went have hope that this orochimaru is a more interesting character than canon. It would be a little disappointing if he was still his cliche evil self. I look forward to kurenai's conversation with iruka. It's funny that she thinks she'll catch naruto off guard when I am sure he will be the one to see her first through the window. Also I am getting mixed feelings about Mito now. At first I thought she was just looking to get his trust then somehow use him to free herself. Now she seems to genuinely like him. Or at the very least appreciate him being there. Did her feeling change or has she always been that way? Anyway I wonder if you are going to use an oc to make contact with him since kabuto and mizuki are too obvious. Also I wonder if minato actually had a lot of trust in orochimaru. Because one of naruto's parents had to have chosen him and from what he said kushina is out. There has to be a story in that. I wouldn't be surprised if orochimaru is feared for a different reason than canon. I can only imagine what gift he has for naruto. The way you described how his picture was presented shows that orochimaru is at the very least very fond of naruto. I wonder if both he and minato worked on the seal that naruto bears together. Though this chapter now leaves me without a single person that is interested in making naruto suffer. Even orochimaru appears to be on his side and wasn't aware of exactly what circumstances caused the whole debacle. Were you trolling when you implied that there are hidden foes at work or are you just taking your time to introduce them? Because any guesses I make now would just be me reaching really far out into the darkness hoping my hand doesn't get bitten off. And half the fun is having clues to follow. I hope that it's me missing the clues and if that's the case just this one time only point me in the right direction to look for them. This ride is just too fun.

Now that is an interesting twist Orochimaru being Naruto's godfather instead of Jariya Though I wonder if that is only in his own mind.

What a twist! Honestly that came completely out of left field. I hope Naruto doesn't end up despising his mother, though I wouldn't blame him if he did. The real question is, what's the relationship between Minato and Orochi? Obviously he must have trusted him a whole lot if he named him Naruto's godfather. Good chapter as always.

Oh shit will I didn't see the Orochimaru thing coming up but that will make a interesting twist to say the least lol. I like the moment with Mito and Naruto, it is also kinda showing his age progression as well with his growing (even if he doesn't know it yet) in females. One thing is for sure Mito is VERY attached to Naruto right now. And seeing how he might be one of the only humans that was ever nice to her that would mean alot. I wonder if Mito can see though Naruto's sister's eyes and see what she is learning as well? I think Orochi will end up sending Naruto some training stuff. It is interesting their relation with him, I mean with Orochi being a orphan and all would that mean that even a monster like him could have slight feelings for his godchild?
