I'm sure this is more of a critique of Smeyer's characterization of Beau than it is a critique of Visser, but man Beau being in denial of being awake or alive was so frustrating. LIKE DUDE BELIEVE EDYTHE LOL

Loved this chapter! Seeing the interaction between Edythe and Beau in the waiting room after their audience with the Volturi was so sweet!

If Edward used the same lines as Edythe then I wouldn’t be so disappointed with the way he broke things off with Bella. Edythe swears that she won’t come back to do such a thing to him or any other human again. I do appreciate the change.

I like Beau better than Bella. I do wished life and Death was different but still reading about Beau and Edythe created a better story love than in the original.

love your take so far. on your note of imprinting I can understand where that comes from but I have always seen it as the same thing as mates for the vampires it's a love at first sight thing. like Alice knowing jasper was her mate and Rosalie knowing Emmett was hers. both in the sense of they felt this overwhelming emotion when they saw the person like imprinting there is just a more direct knowing with imprinting. I think. where as mating gives more time to figure out what it is. imprinting is instant recognition both are done for life though and when one dies they can't go on or have to exact revenge before they die themselves. I do understand why you have omitted it though for the sake of the story line. can't wait to read your change of how it all plays out

How extraordinary is that? I am a huge fan of Life and Death (has more meaning to me than Twilight itself) and It’s like a dream to have found this. No only gender-swapped but developed to ADD crucial situations that make It work!

While I am really enjoying this (years later as I never knew it was here), there have been some parts that really (at least while I was reading them) irked the #$ out of me, Edythe totally giving Beau the cold shoulder for 3 days then announce they were leaving, while...I sorta get it, it pissed me off at the same time, maybe you wrote it that way in hopes the reader would feel some type of way. This part however, the ending to this chapter, sometimes I wonder exactly how utterly clueless Beau can be, Sam an the other Quileute's hunting humans, however you stated earlier that Sam w/some of them ran off some meth dealer, they basically kept the rez safe, it just kinda boggles me that you would set it up that way only to flip his thoughts they were the real monsters. Nonetheless, amazing work, sometimes I forget I'm not reading what SM wrote, that's a definite compliment to your writing abilities. Eager to see where things go, thanks again for giving us fans what she opted out of!
