![]() ![]() ![]() Great chapter, I enjoyed reading it. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Good update. To be honest, I was only doing the 'speed reading' thing for chapters 4,5, and 6 because I figured this story was going to be labeled 'completed'...by chapters 4,5,6,7,...or 10 at most...if it ever got finished. But after rereading (slow reading) chapter 6, I realized you must be planing long story by the extreme detail of what a Tau'ri capital ship's weapons package has. And chapter 7 confirmed that. The future chapters should be interesting. The Tau'ri dealing with the Cylon One's factions can only end one way. The Tau'ri dealing with any Colonists survivors they come across? Well, that can end up in soooooooooo many ways. |
![]() ![]() ![]() It was a very interesting chapter, I would like to see how Bill, Lee and Kara see the incomming battles from the point of view of a Tau'ri ship. By the way about the strategy that they said that they will use in the Logistic. Wouldn't be better to send Star Gates with the fleet and after they had some bases in those planets place them there, that way they will not need a hospital ship, they could just only send the injured to a real hospital in a Tau'ri planet and that will reduce the time that they will need to get ready. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Dude I don't know whether to love you for the amazing story you're giving us or hate you because at the end of each chapter I still want more, anyways like I said before i love your style of writing, detailed and engaging, I especially love the political and camaraderie aspect of it makes the story feel more real not just one more action explosion filled wankaton with no plot, with respect to the science and technology part of the story I tend to never criticize authors as long as is well written I don't much care if is accurate or not, after all we're talking science fiction right, not science fact, besides who knows remember that only a hundred or so years ago the pinnacle of technology was the horse drawn carriage, who's to say that in the future what you're describing can't be real. Anyways another great chapter and looking forward to the next one. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great chapter, Im thinking in two options, and a really want to read about the rescue mission and about the cylons and theirs future far away from the colonials, nice chapter and waiting for more. Keep going and be safe. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Not bad at all. |
![]() ![]() ![]() good story. glad you are back. l look forward to hearing more |
![]() ![]() ![]() thrilled to see the story back! wishing you all the best in your personal life. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great story! Update soon please! |
![]() ![]() All chapters are really good and the story so far as well. Good to see you back and writing again. Sorry to hear about the issue that has halted your masterpiece to continue until now, but it is good to hear that it has been resolved with a positive outcome. Now for some constructive discussion. I agree with some reviewers who had issues with your technology explanation. I agree with your reason why not to use Asgard beams except in certain situations and being strictly regulated by military/authorities. But would Earth and its allies not have developed a better transporter platform by now, that doesn't need the pesky rings for transporting too? We have seen some examples in the show (Aschen transporters, Atlantis transporter booth...)? The ZPM should also have a much bigger energy output than an Ion neutrino generator. The Ori with their ZPM reactor, Ancient Arctutus project and the unnamed Asgard power core they installed on the Odyssey were the only known ones to rival/surpass a ZPM power (or if you have a black hole nearby to siphon energy from it). If you ask me, these power sources (the ones I mentioned above) and the ZPM should have a power measurement in the Peta Watts. But in their cases, the extraction rate should be more limiting, hence, not all the power can be used at once, or an overload could happen. Another issue is with the sub-light engines. Wouldn't Earth have a combo of Ion/plasma engines and the gravity engines? Snake heads did use mostly the gravity engines (since no exhaust point) except their medium bomber, that had them. Just explain that the Ion/plasma engines are for better acceleration and top speed, the gravity for better maneuverability and reaction times. Most of the space fairing races used some form of engine with exhaust (even the Asgard and Ancients who were far more advanced than the snake heads), so saying that the gravity based engine is better, is simply not true. While I like the way you explained the weapon of the Earth ship, why bother with a big direct kinetic energy weapon? Use the satellite energy weapon from the Ancient satellites instead. Add some berserker drones with a control matrix too, or the plasma super weapon from Anubis. As for armor, in SG we have seen that only the Wraith ship armor is actually effective. If you add armor, why not say that Earth has managed to copy Wraith tech and the outer hull/armor is made from a organic/regenerative material (also not unlike Cylon ships!) Are the robots from the planet Altair going to make an appearance and show Colonials/Clyons that there are other intelligent machines in the galaxy? Really like your story. The main reason is this: It is unlike any crossover story between these Sci-Fi giants. Not a single shot fired yet, mostly politics and realizing of some hard truths for the Colonials. And the Colonials not being portrayed like religious nut jobs (many other stories that I like too, are milking this to death). Just sad that you used the BSG part from the very ending of the show, where many of the main cast (Gaeta, Dualla, Foster and others) are already dead. Keep it up! |
![]() ![]() Great Chapter But why is the Suffren sublight so slow, the Prometheus could do around 0.6c as stated by Carter in the Prometheus ep of Season 6. Did the captain lie to Adama to hide some of the Republics technology? I assume so, because why use rings for transport when have Asgard Beaming. I hope the Republic are hiding somethings as the missiles and drones of the suffren seem slow when you consider the sublight speed of the ship! |
![]() ![]() Nice chapter Feel my head is about to explode with all the technical information. Surprised that the Jaffa are part of the Republic, does the Free Jaffa Nation still exist? |
![]() ![]() ![]() DIDN'T ANYONE NOTICE THE PROBLEM HERE THEY ARE OUT OF BLUE JELL-O IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD lmao just joke amazing story so far |
![]() ![]() ![]() So, Galactica will not be the last Battlestar in existence :) Frankly, i think you are bending the logic a bit there. Upgrading this foreign and already outdated design Will take about the same amount of time and work as developing a brand new one from the ground. Everything will have to be redesigned in line with Tau'ri standards, materials, operational procedures etc. What will be left of the old Galactica? General shape, name and fame? In RL it wouldn't fly - luckily world of fiction is more elastic :D |
![]() ![]() ![]() I enjoyed the techno babble. Even on the show the Quorom was a waste. Yes Carter needs her blue Jell-O. Hope can update soon. |
