I've absolutely binged this story, and I love it. From the slow reveal of the tragedy around George...to the character development... and in this chapter I very much approve of Tom being more thoughtful towards Sybil than he seems to be in the show (he was so thoughtless in s3 when she was pregnant, it annoyed me so much!).

"I know my sister like I know my own mind, you will never find anyone as trusting or as kind..." I immediately started singing the Hamilton lyrics when I saw the line lol. This is a really good story. It really seems like I'm reading the script to the show.

Ugh the feels! This story is so good! I love seeing Mary and Matthew with kids.

That final scene with Matthew, Mary and the kiddies literally had me tearing up, so freaking beautiful! I absolutely adored this story start to finish, how you wrote the characters, the romantic relationships, the friendships...so perfect! The ending couldn't have been better for everyone involved!

Is it bad that I was singing the Hamilton lyrics when Mary thereatened Tom? I absolutely adore this story so far, so wonderdully crafted and original. I especially love how you write Sybil and Tom and Mary and Matthew's relationships!

I absolutely love this scene. There's a reason liquor is called "liquid courage"! I just love everything about this scene; it made me as happy as the second season Christmas special ending.

I am loving this story. It was a little hard to adjust to a Patrick who was so unkind at first, but I'm glad you made him that way in this AU because that makes Matthew all the more appealing. Thanks for writing such a great work!

I'm so sorry this review is short, but I'm on mobile and stuck at the airport I hope I will have time to go back and properly review this chapter for chapter soon enough because this story deserves it. This is one of the best fics (of any fandom, really) I've read in a while and I think there are two things that stuck out the most, well let's make it three cause three is a much nicer number. One, your prose: I love it because you write mini scenes that put together still flow effortlessly one after the other, plus it's very concise and it's a pleasure to read. Two, your takes on any plot we could have happened in downton is amazing in it's own way and, although the premise may sound cheesy, you deliver it flawlessly capturing the reader from the very beginning. Three, I really really appreciate (and I think we spoke about this on tumblr a long time ago) that you had your plan and kept with it aka Mary didn't magically heal from her infertility and became a mom. I know that may have looked like a happy ending, but this one is just as happy and truer to all you said before. Wel done!
