kuroshiragami0 chapter 102 . 12/8 Excited for chapter 103 and the next arc it's exciting to see what you write |
silverhawk88 chapter 102 . 12/8 Man that was a back and forth battle. You know you had me guessing through the whole fight what her trump card was and I was trying to figure it out. So I got a good laugh when it turned out to be the explode. It was so obvious. Lukas just seemed to also one upping Bambi the whole fight. I got worried plenty of times. Then when he started using Maker magic my stomach dropped a bit and was worried for Bambi, but your use of the fairy tail guild brought reassurance that she was going to be fine. Then she after being floored and seemingly defeated she activates explode and just starts wiping the floor with him! That was awesome! I also don’t think she killed him. She said put him out of his misery also meant just hurt him bad enough to knock him unconscious. You did an amazing job in writing this chapter! Kept me engaged and wonder what would happen next. Also had a big review but the whole thing got deleted. So I just did this one. You are an awesome writer! Thank you for making this arc about her past! |
Ultimatrix bearer chapter 102 . 12/7 That was epic! KEEP BEING AWESOME! |
NotXeno chapter 101 . 12/6 Another chapter awaits, and this one is assumedly going to serve as the climax to the stakes last chapter’s incredible (and heartbreaking) flashback set up. Lukas is pulling strings to get this publicized heavily and Bambi’s got some emotional hurdles to get through before she’s “good”, but the fight is what matters because it's her only chance to stop this farce before it gets too far. So we begin with the ride to the arena Lukas used his political clout to reserve on incredibly short notice. He wants this over with just as much as Bambi apparently, but for entirely different reasons I’d assume. He’s probably sitting pretty in some locker room getting ready to show off for whatever crowd Bambi is bringing (and we know it’s gotta be her lol) and Bambi herself is having a bit of a pre-fight crisis. And to be honest, I get her. Bambi is, in literature, in the middle of a “redemption arc”, right? Or well, for the most part this entire story IS the redemption, but you get my point. But calling it redemption is kinda pretentious from a real world perspective. For us, it’s simply mental and emotional health, and a huge part of “rehab” is understanding what your relapse triggers are. Bambietta views Lukas as one big relapse trigger. And again, girl, I get it, but… there’s a lot to lose here if she so much as WINS wrong. Estelle, in a showing of remarkable compassion (at least considering the upbringing) actually apologizes for bringing Lukas to Bambietta’s attention in the first place. That there could have possibly been some other way to address the issue than put everything Bambi has on the line like this. Bambi though, brings up the excellent point that finding out about Lukas any other way would have been way worse and he showed up at FT anyways so… yeah, moot point I’d say. Lucy ended up eavesdropping in the most typical fashion it would happen in real life: you go to talk to somebody, you find them already engaged in conversation and you don’t know how to step in, so you sit back, and the conversation keeps going and going and all you end up doing is listening in on all of it lol. Still, Lucy has faith in her girl and I don’t think it’s misplaced in the least! After landing, Bambi wastes NO time, and ends up actually having a long-awaited (for me at least) conversation with good ol Juggie Hashbrowns. Bambi is understandably confused why Yhwach’s number one cheerleader is not off in Bosco, well… cheerleading again. And then she learned that even Haschwalth and Gerard were not immune from the Quincy Blender that is the Auswhalen. And I tell you right now, Yhwach likes his smoothies. Bambietta understandably thinks about the fact that this means she was always going to get juiced for her soul essence no matter what, but honestly she’s mostly beyond the Bleach days at this point. That’s kinda why this Lukas thing is so important. Haschwalth does bring up an important thing though: Bambi’s got diplomatic immunity if this goes… a little south. Since Fiore has the benefit of Haschwalth’s general knowledge on what Quincy were like, even Hayden, Hisui’s a bit more receptive to the idea of stopping it where possible. Sin has a political presence and some strong mages, sure, but Mercurius technically rules the whole damn continent lol. They can afford to step on some toes to get a goal achieved, and if killing Lukas will stop a potential tragedy in the making, it will be allowed with little fuss. In fact, if killing him is required to stop it at all, it’s actively encouraged, of all things. For Bambi, this is relief that if things do go poorly, she has a safety net politically, but with her friends back at Fairy Tail there’s a bit more to it than that. She can’t just kill her brother in cold blood and go home to smiles considering the kind of people her friends ARE. Haschwalth also adds that while killing him will be pardoned, he’d really rather not deal with the political fuckery in the first place if Bambi can help it lol. With his word given, Bambi is excused to go collect herself for the battle ahead. Haschwalth’s scene is far from over, though, and holy crap I’m loving it. A royal council member appears and reminds Haschwalth that he’s not government, he’s military. His job is to look pretty and kick ass, not stick his nose into political situations like this. Haschwalth argues that Hisui’s blessing allows him leeway in this manner, but really he admits he was just trying to lower the amount of weight on Bambietta’s shoulders for the upcoming fight. The less she had to worry about if something went wrong, the better. In fact, he’s not even worried that she WILL kill him, despite his entire talk with her essentially being approval for the act. It was all mind games to lower the amount of “consequences” for Bambietta to think about. He’s honestly got a great deal of faith in her, which is exemplified by a flashback to what feels like content from many years ago (holy crap it is). Haschwalth, understandably upon learning about Bambietta being in Fairy Tail, decides Makarov at least deserves a heads up about her past. And Makarov admits that he had a great deal of reservations about somebody like Bambietta being allowed to join his guild. But when Porlyusica sent her over, it’s important to note Bambi as a person was at her absolute lowest. There was pain and hurt there that Makarov thought his guild could fix, and that it was worth the risk, and dammit he was right! Phantom Lord as an arc proved that there was room in Bambietta’s heart to get mad not for herself, but for the sake of others, and as such solidified Makarov’s decision to let her in the guild. Haschwalth needs to hear no further, and drops the issue. Amazing scene, however short! The royal council member asks Haschwalth why he’s willing to put his limited political capital on the line for something like this, and he hears Bazz-B’s last words to him. Haschwalth, at least in regards to his former comrades… doesn’t want any more regrets. They all deserve better. Man I wish this dude was around in the story more hahah. He really did get the shaft in canon as far as character resolutions went. This was a pretty short setup for the big show, it turns out, as at the beginning I actually believed we would get through the entire conflict with Lukas this very chapter. Now that I think about it though, it’s making more sense to segment this properly. I intend to bring my review A-Game for the big event next chapter, and look forward to truly experiencing and critiquing what could very well be the final resolution to Bambietta Basterbine’s traumatic past. Next time, on a Quincy’s Fairy Tail! |

Imperial warlord chapter 102 . 12/2 Awesome chapter. |
Kisuke fan 95 chapter 102 . 12/1 so what about the chapter well i m telling you for the first time in my life i m lost for words because no word in the known universe would do it justice but for the author note before the chapter you could have gone for something like an announcer would do for a tournment that would make more thrilling that all i have to say |
operation meteor chapter 49 . 12/1 You know, something about Meifon's appearance struck me as familiar ever since you introduced her, but I couldn't place it. Now, with all that info, I feel like kicking myself for not realizing she's a reincarnated Wang Liu Mei. I really should've picked up on that; her guild, Celestial Blade, was named in honor of Gundam 00's Celestial Being, wasn't it? Very well played there! Also, Bambietta's reaction to Levy befriending Ulquiorra was perfect, got a good chuckle out of that. Great job with the chapter! |
Phantom Null chapter 102 . 12/1 I'm not gonna lie, i was expecting Bambi to win, but not like that. Not disappinted by it either. i like the choice to not give Lukas a flashback. given the way it ended, it would've just been adding tragedy for the sake of it. I'm still curious about who could've killed Lukas the first time. If i had to guess, though, I'd say that a certain Grandmaster realized he was too far gone to be saved. and his visit last chapter was meant to be him giving her permission to do the same. |
TaitanoRules555 chapter 102 . 12/1 Is he dead? |
candido452 chapter 101 . 11/29 This is a real good story line i couldn't stop reading it and the background for each character adds more to the storie. To be honest I can't wait for the next one. |
