Reviews for A Single Decision (Take Two)
Flhistoryman chapter 53 . 8/13/2024
Just wanted to hop in an say that I love the story. While I disagree with various points throughout the story, they are just based on my own views an how I would like stuff to go down. Hope you are doing fine and come back to it!
Cooldude chapter 52 . 7/29/2024
Yeah. Regarding what the Kaminoan minister said about 200k units, I think it probably means either a full squad (10), a full company (165) or maybe a full battalion.

I personally disagree with your constant harping on about Filoni, as I do like the Clone Wars show. Also, where does Filoni contradict that the Clone Wars was this massive conflict? Sure it only focused on a few units/characters but I don’t think it denied the scale of the war.
Cooldude chapter 50 . 7/29/2024
“Good soldiers follow orders”? Is that the chips? Kano was definitely clearly conflicted. Maybe he was fighting the mental conditioning to follow orders no matter what? Maybe it’s both? Like the chips are a back/insurance to make sure clones follow important orders (maybe reserved for the contingency orders like O66?)?

Oh, and I am actually Cooldude101011, I’m just using the guest review function to make new reviews.
Cooldude chapter 45 . 7/27/2024
Ah ARCs and their kama fashion. Good portrayal of ARCs and Commandos, clones do care about each other after all.

The commandos are especially close, and the squad leader understandably wasn't willing to leave one of his brothers behind to die. I can understand the leaders rage and grief at having all of his brothers die, at least they're together again in the afterlife or something.

I'm guessing only the ARCs know about order 66? As part of the whole thing is that the rank and file clones never knew about order 66 until it happened.

Maybe the ARC captain wasn't told about order 66 but he figured it out on his own? Like he did research on his template?
Cooldude chapter 41 . 7/27/2024
This Dooku seems similar to his portrayal in the fanfic “Supreme Chancellor Kenobi” (it’s rather funny but interesting), with Dooku’s fall instigated by Qui-Gon’s death and Dooku being the “Lord of Grief”.
Cooldude chapter 40 . 7/27/2024
I was hoping for a Arquitens upgrade or something, but mostly because I have a soft spot for it. But EC Henry’s Nebulon B is cool too
Cooldude chapter 39 . 7/27/2024
“These clones, they have no soul” Is this your view on the clones or just this individual character? As I think it’s pretty clear from SWTCW that they do have souls and are very individualistic.
Cooldude chapter 38 . 7/27/2024
Technically a dreadnought was originally classified by having a “all big gun” main battery with some AA and perhaps secondaries. But by the time of WW2 every battleship used the “all big gun” style and as such the term “dreadnought” became obsolete as it was/is synonymous with “battleship”. The Iowa for instance could be called a dreadnought.

Yeah, battlecruisers are commonly defined as having battleship firepower, high speed and cruiser grade/level armour. Additionally, technically a battlecruiser doesn’t have to have cruiser level armour, it just has less armour than BBs on average due to the difference in priorities. Specifically that speed is prioritised (usually) over armour and thus armour is sacrificed if necessary. HMS Hood for example actually had pretty good armour.

Battlecruiser aren’t meant to fight battleships or other battlecruisers, they are meant to chase down and destroy ships smaller than them, this includes destroying enemy convoys. A BC should avoid fighting BBs if possible, they can do it but it isn’t recommended. A BC fighting another BC is kinda like a duel between paper tigers, the one who gets the first good hits in usually wins.

Y’know kyber crystals could be really useful in many applications. Such as adding a kyber crystal to a ships reactor to boost its output. Or adding 1 or multiple to a laser cannon or turbolaser.
Cooldude chapter 33 . 7/27/2024
Sure most clones were to be soldiers and pilots but many were also trained specifically to be ship crewmen, engineers and other such personnel that aren’t on the direct front line’s fighting as infantry, vehicle crews or pilots
Cooldude chapter 23 . 7/27/2024
Yep, black holes are weird like that, especially since they spin which makes them even weirder, such as the Ergosphere. The YouTube channel “Kurzgesagt”s videos on black holes and other such celestial phenomena/objects are really good.

So the relativistic shields in hyperdrives could actually be used as time machines if someone figured how to modify them to do that? Would it only be time travel into the future or would it allow time travel into the past?
Cooldude chapter 2 . 7/26/2024
I’m guessing Star Wars slugthrowers are shoddily made compared to ours? As it was mentioned that every slugthrower shoots differently which is not the case with ours (at least among a single model of gun. Every M16 for example if properly maintained with the right ammo should all have roughly the same shooting characteristics). Same with the fact that clone armour is slug proof, smaller calibres at long range and shrapnel? Sure. But I’m pretty sure a 5.56 or 7.62 round at its effective range would usually go right through clone armour.
Hill chapter 53 . 6/23/2024
Another year, another re-read of ASD. I've been following your story for six years now; I'd post a review but it'd probably wind up being half as long as the fucking story and it would almost certainly earn me the title of Timewatch's Top Dickrider because to be honest, there's very little criticism to give, and I've got nothing but good things to say about this fic.

You've written yourself a solid cast of actually interesting and compelling characters, somehow managed to incorporate the Crimean basket weaving forum, expanded further on Grievous' Kaleesh background, dropped plenty of cheeky references, made the Clone War feel like the hellish galaxy-wide war of annihilation that Filoni and Disney have consistently failed to do, and so much more that I won't go into detail about for risk of earning that previously mentioned title. In short, bro, you're quite the opposite of a talentless hack in my book, you're a damned artist, especially when your work is compared to anything Star Wars related Disney's released in the past decade.

And when this is all over, I'll be keeping my eyes out for that original IP you mentioned.

Good luck and God bless, Timewatch.
local doc chapter 1 . 5/25/2024
Its tradition at this point to come back here once in a while, just to poke the sleeping bear and see if anything happens. I hope the author is doing quite fine!
Diaboromon's Tamer chapter 1 . 5/16/2024
Grievous doesn't know that he killed Darth Sidious.

I've always been fascinated with alternate universes, how you can branch off alternate realities to nearly about anything.
Guest chapter 53 . 4/17/2024
I just spent the past week reading this story and have been thoroughly entranced in its story and characters. Esera is a fantastic main character and her relationship is Grievous is likewise exceptional. I'm addicted to all the moving parts and plotlines from Tarkin's machinations, the Jedi schism, and others so I've been eagerly anticipating how they all come to a climax. As such I'm heartbroken by calling it unsalvageable as that seems like needlessly excessive self-criticism but I understand a writer's desire to ever continue their improvement. Finally, its sad that it seems to be on a permanent hiatus as of 2024 as it's a great interpretation of the Star Wars universe. Best wishes.
