This is lovely. It seems a bit slashy to me (not keen on that) BUT nevertheless, done beautifully. It seems true to the characters, this simple motif of light and dark which speaks of Frodo's moods and Sam's fears.

This may have been a quickly written challenge, but it stands on its own.
