Shunsui just had to arrive when the other guard was busy. Poor Ichigo. A nice chapter, I enjoyed reading it. Was that question 'what's the speciality' referring to FMA?

Old man Yama! Good to see him, even if I get a strong Game of Thrones vibe from his little reiatsu show. Hah, of course he wants Ichi to join Gotei. The only reason he didn't outright kidnap him was because he found him in a noble's household. A strong, talented recruit, Yama must have cackled like a madman in his inner world.
And Shun, wow, that was a perfect first meeting! Or rather Ichigo's luck hasn't changed a bit from his former life. Poor guy! :D

I really like this it well written and i like the long chapters with a lot of progress thats not really rushed it works really well

You do get a little long winded in the philosophical description but it is realated to the story so ot works

Sabūrō had me laughing. Especially near the end, when he recognised the sword. And Jūshirō's reaction when his father mentioned manners. I had expected Ichigo to retain his memories and get into the academy early on. But I feel that this is better. Ukitake is frankly my favourite character, so him appearing in fics makes me happy. I wonder when he will meet Shunsui. Also, I thought that the heat was caused by Yamamoto but I was wrong.

You don't need a pairing for a good story. If you decide you want one though, my recommendation would be an OC. For me at least, picturing him with someone in canon would be weird and awkward.

I honestly love your descriptions. Beautiful, curious, and even humorous.

I'm also liking this Saburo guy. Keep it up! Are you planning to incorporate canon and/or Ichigo's memories sometime in the distant future, or no?
