I guess you can say this is now the final battle against Mewtwo. Hopefully, Ash can beat Mewtwo and make him regain senses. However, I do wonder, once Giovanni is defeated, what's even going to happen next, and where is Arceus in all this. I'm surprised he has yet to make an appearance, but I honestly can see him appearing at the very end and after restoring all of the Legendaries powers, restoring balance back to the world and cleaning everything up. Not to mention, the entire Kanto Elite 4 and Champion are definitely removed from power, and would most likely be sentenced to life in prison, or worse death. Freeing Mewtwo might trigger him to instantly kill Giovanni, which would be a perfect way to finish him off. Leaving him alive would be a mistake so Death is the only way. Although, I do wonder one thing, what about the other evil team leaders, Maxie, Archie, Cyrus, Ghetsis, and even Lysander (since Kalos was supposedly the most recent before his coma ended).

It's honestly going to be hype to read about this fight.

I read your fic. You're really good . Also you are a pokeshipping convinced like me. I love Locked Away, Misty's story and Equanimity. I was wondering if I could translate Locked Away into Italian. Obviously you will be credited and put a link linking your profile. Also I agree 7 years do not remember who you like.

With each passing chapter, even if there's a gap between them, it blows me away how easy it is to jump right back into the story, as if no time passed at all. That, coupled with your prowess as a writer, is part of what makes this such a fun read. As always, excellent work.

Getting real big Mass Effect vibes from these past two chapters, another testament to the structure and feel of the story, so I'm excited to see where things go!

Misty lives! Yay :D I'm really glad you didn't drag it out to make things more dramatic haha, sometimes it's just really nice to know what happens. They're still in a bad shape, Ash, Misty and their Pokémon, but it's definitely better than being dead.
Oooh, James found Giovanni. And yes, finally someone is being sensible and has a gun. Now shoot him instead of waiting, that's only going to lead to more trouble.
And of course Mewtwo wouldn't be able to be defeated so easily. I do wonder what his endgame is, if he wants to survive and be free or if he has truly joined Giovanni.
Dammit, and now Ash and Misty have to split up as well! I don't like that haha. But Misty is going to find James and hopefully a dead Giovanni, and Ash is coming face to face with Mewtwo... I'm very excited for what seems to be truly the end of this story.

Woohoo, new chapters! I reread the previous chapter and now I'll get started on the new stuff!
That's right, Iris escaped and now it looks like she's going to save Kanto. It was Rayquaza, right, who was causing all the lightning attacks, right? I can't remember everything that was going on. But Iris has definitely seen worse. And she found Gary! Man, he's in a worse shape. But he can't die. Dammit, so many people have died already, he can't die, too.
Things are really coming to a head. Poor Ash. I have the feeling the characters are pushed to their limits, only to have to go further, and man oh man, I wonder how long they can hold up under this kind of pressure.
Uh-oh, I never like it when the heroes have to split up. Oh, I hope that the Rocket Trio will make it out in one piece...
Giovanni is indeed being the typical villain by staying in dingy, dark hideouts and wanting the hero to join his side, and it's even typical that he seems to be winning... I do hope that Ash will be able to get through to Misty, and in time, too... They're having a real intense battle, but Mewtwo's control doesn't seem to be wavering - until the end. Which I really hope wasn't the end of Misty, though you sure made it sound like that! Fortunately I don't have to wait for an update and I can go on straight to the next chapter, and hopefully I'll find my answer there...

Firstly I would like to say if this is okay and you planned to make it more dramatic, I am actually curious to how dramatic it could be as I already found this chapter to be really dramatic. As always it was a fantastic read and can't wait to read what happens next.
