You know, I would have made Ash Release more powerful than the likes of Ice and Lave Release by making it it into a Kekke Morra (like Dust Release) rather than a Kekke Genkai, and the three elements I'd have used are Wind, Fire, and Earth. Also ash is far more dangerous than you've made it here. First off is that ash is often vary sharp, it can cut though blood vessels by entering poores, shred and burn the lungs and stomach, and blind and deafen by slashing the eyes and eardrums. Second it is often composed of rather caustic and poisonous elements, in fact volcanic ash is made up of some of the most poisonous substances known to man. Ash can also be used to carbonized, turning other biological matter into ash, which is what happened to the people of Pompeii. Additionally you could have Naruto use his ash like Crocodile (One Piece) and Ajieel (Fairy Tail) use their sand, to dry out targets to the point of desiccation and death. It also might be cool to give Naruto an ultimate defense like Garra, seeing as ash is faster than sand when moved by the wind.
I just wanted to give you some ideas for Naruto's bloodline-limit, feel free to use any of these ideas or PM me if you want to brainstorm.

Shouldn't the ash element be earth fire and wind to get ash.
Sub-elements are all about how the main ones are combined to make the new ones.

*sigh* The fic has potential, don't get me wrong. But it gets old that any time authors make Naruto stronger, or do the smart thing and call in back up on the Wave mission, suddenly Zabuza or Gato magically have extra minions or missing nin pop out of their asses so the Wave mission ends up the same as canon rather than really changing it.

Don't just give us a canon Wave mission just slightly altered to account for Naruto's added skills and Neko's presence. Though you pretty seriously undercut Neko's skill levels already in the first Zabuza fight as to make her being there pointless. Seriously, Naruto and Sasuke in canon got Zabuza to release the prison, and here you have an ANBU sword mistress unable to even really hit a STATIONARY Zabuza without resorting to some super-move?

I suppose Naruto will surpass her then by the time the chunin exams hit. Though how Naruto can even enter them, seeing as its a team exam and he's not, a team that is. And it strikes me as counterintuitive for the 'council to insist he enter these first exams so they can make him start breeding faster, when he is more likely to DIE due to not being ready yet and thus NEVER get a chance to breed.

It is a very interesting story. I'm wanting to know how you will continue.
