| Percyfan1998 chapter 1 . 11/17/2017
Holy sh** I love it! I read not too long ago a fic similar to this one - in regards to Ash and Misty being soulmates, except in that one it was by a watch that counted down when the two soulmates would meet - but, unlike that one, I like that this one comes full circle, and we get the satisfaction of knowing the feelings the two eventually developed for each other.
The endings kinda depressing as heck, but I love the build up and emotion behind it.

Awesome! I really, really loved it.

This was beautiful! There is something truly wonderful about the way you went about writing this. It wasn't a typical romance soulmate fic - you pushed deeper. I feel like this represented their relationship so well, because everything about it has to begin with the idea of friendship - not love, not attraction, just the purest form of bonding that surpasses any form of lust. It was beautiful the way that friendship was able to blossom into something more as the story progressed as well. All I all this was just really pleasant to read and I love love love the descriptions of the mark. Wonderful job

They are still the Ash and Misty as we love. The only difference is the soulmark, but that only makes the duo's unity more definite. Good read:-)

Lovely one-shot! A perfect fit for February too.
I'm actually not into romance, but this story really sent me down a trail of nostalgia. I could remember those episodes you referenced as I was reading this, and it took me back to when I used to watch Pokemon as a kid. (I still watch it, but I mean when I used to watch the original series—particularly Kanto.) And it wasn't like rewatching it all, as it had that small little addition about soulmates you added, plus the way you wrote and described it all.
"What, you never seen a soulmark before?"
[Ash takes off his glove.]
Hahaha, that was probably one of my favourite parts! The awkward little "oh" and them just standing there at a lost at what to do, it just creates an amusing scene. And another one of my favourite parts was how you described the times when they would forgive each other after a big fight.
It's a sweet little display of friendship. The marks don't have to be thought of as brands of destiny; instead, they act as a reminder of their bond.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this through their thoughts and how each viewed the situation and how their bond developed throughout the course of their journey together. I could envision everything because of the great descriptions too.
"They came apart like glass shattering, with twilight coloring the sky above and nothing that could be said with words that they didn't already know."
One of my favourite lines! The imagery is just so vivid, and how they're described as shattering glass, I just love it!
Thanks for the one-shot! Bye bye for now. Hope you have a great semester and be sure to smile all the way! :)
