why would you do something like that, Hermione would become a huge enemy of Harry's with her ideals and Ron would be even worse, as 'modern' humans they would think him nothing more than a murderer and that is without the fact that they feel extremely out of place in this part of the story the way you have written it so far.

The Nord met his glare.

"The Tyranny of the Sun cannot come true of Alduin devours the world. That is what I'm saying, my Lord."

Serana looked away.

"Good point."

Approval rang across the halls. While Vingalmo seemed distrustful, a lot of people seemed to agree with Orthjolf. Eventually, Harkon nodded.

"I will consider the matter in private. In the meantime, let everyone feast and celebrate. Today is a joyous day."

Yet, as Orthjolf sat back, he glanced around him and breathed. Feran Sadri, Rargal and Hestla looked nervous as well. Good. He wasn't alone. What was the point of taking over the world if Alduin was going to devour it once they were done?

It was Ron who answered.

"Not even, mate." His voice was filled with steel. "We've been worried sick for months, and it turns we were right to be afraid: you're in huge trouble, what with that Dragonborn thing. This time was a shock because we weren't expecting it, but I'll get over it." He looked at his axe. "I have to. I want to be there when you're in trouble again and you need someone to watch your back. And, if it involves making some heads roll? I'll get over it. I have to."

Harry smiled warmly. His best friend was the bravest person he knew. Hermione sighed.

"I'll come along, then. Someone has to do the thinking and it clearly won't be Ron. But I'll try to avoid killing if I have to."

"I understand." Harry reassured. "But I'm far from stupid or ignorant, 'mione!"

Ron snickered. Hermione glared at him.

Meanwhile, I was more interested by the locked door. I didn't break a lock-pick as I opened it and made a point to avoid the stepping stone trap. The chest at the end was begging to be opened… Hedwig stopped me.

"Look at the side."

I looked and grimaced when I saw a wire. Then a grin crossed my face. I took my wand and pointed it at the trap.

"Alohomora."

The string snapped. My grin widened.
