tbf there kind of is, it's called a Ward/Ward of the Court and since the government is headed by the Queen at that time even if her powers were mostly ceremonial it still works.

Up to chapter 8, the one thing that occurs to me is that Hermione and Justin FF have come in, took one look and decided to change everything that makes the Wizarding World extraordinary. Wasn’t this why the pure bloods didn’t like Muggleborns in the first place? That they would unilaterally want to make it like theirs? Loving the story and binge reading at the moment, just have the feeling that they are acting oh what’s the word when someone takes over and everyone has to bow down to their word? Tyranny? Possibly?
