Reviews for Wife of the Wolf, Husband of The Sun |

![]() ![]() I like the pairing of Elia and Eddard :) |
![]() ![]() Hi there, This story is a very interesting read, and it brings out the various aspects of characters in ways not often seen, however I do feel the need to pose a question. In Canon, the North is on its own roughly as strong manpower wise as the Westerlands, both at around 50.000 men in the field when the banners are called, just with more of those soldiers being infantry and archers rather than heavy cavalry and less ability to hire mercenaries because of being poorer. With this its approximately the third strongest of the seven kingdoms, behind the Reach and the Lannisters. They just don't field all that manpower as concentrated, as a lot of it is tied up in defending their far larger territory from things like wildling and iron islander raids, in addition to needing a force ready to meet any new king beyond the wall in battle. Is there a reason why in this story they are seemingly weaker, or was that just characters misunderstanding because of not having the full picture? |
![]() ![]() ![]() 4k Unsullied is not a army capable of taking Westeros let alone King’s Landing. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I quit this story lol. Ned is going to send his wife and unborn child to casterly rock to marry Jamie Lanister this story makes no fucking sense regardless of the word salad you come up with to explain it. Ned my not be hot blooded as Brandon but he sure as shit wouldnt just go along with it and now Eli is just at Casterly rick pregnant and everybody is fine Eli is giving the sister fucker a chance so he can apologize and be redeemed. Jamie says hes in sorry your a prisoner while pregnant and away from home and will be forced to give birth away from your husband because I came uo with a stupid plan that made no sense in front of the obviously crazy king. And Eli is like no ser Jamie no need to apologize i forgive you completely for fucking up my whole life on accident damage done doesnt matter as long as its unintentional. (Plot armor because the author loves Jamie Lanaster harder then his sister) meanwhile everyone else just sits on their hands waiting for someone else to fix their problems. Dorn nothing the North nothing hell the Lannisters could put her on a boat right now and send her home and the king would be none the wiser. I wont be reading this travesty further but I sure hope it ends in the death of the all the dragons and the Lannisters especially the lannisters with a free and independent north. Peace out your story makes no sense. Lyanna dissapears and the North heads right off Neds pregnant wife gets imprisoned and they are cool just to wait because the Lannisters maybe on their side and things may turn out okay what and see. Cause if their is anything we know for sure the starks absolutely love them some lannisters. Im sure your real MC Jamie you love so much will come out great with a lovely ending though |

![]() ![]() ![]() Bit confused with the timeline on this. Rhegar would be about 23ish at this time Eli the same but Ned would only be about 15 or 16 at this point not a crazy age gap but if Rhegar is just getting married now we’d still be a few years from the Rebellion tmeline in cannon. Brandon at most is 18 right now in cannon he died at like 20 and wasnt yet married to Cat. Why is Rickon Stark in such a rush to get everone married as fast as possible in this timline. Definitely faster then in cannon. Lyanna is only about 12 and hes already trying to ship her to the storm lands. Hell the tourney at Herinhall hasn’t even happened yet and she was only 15 at that time. Think this would have been better had you married Eli to Brandon and had Brandon as your male lead leaving Ned and Benjen unmatched as in cannon. Would just make more sense given Ned and Robert should both still be in the Vale right now |
![]() ![]() ![]() The writting is mostly good and I definitely prefer Elia to Cat as Neds wife for sure. Dont really know how or if teh rebellion will even happen now. Hate so much that Lyanna Robert pairing and that everyone guilts her into essentially saying get over it and that her fathers heart attack mad her except guaranteeing her a misrable life to a drunk fat whoremonger. The characters in the story dont know but all the readers know how terrible he really is. Theirs got to be some iteration of this story sometime that she has a good ending. Cant wait for the kingdom is torn apart by chaos and war just in the hope it frees her. Think about every ASOIAF fan has a soft spot for Lyanna and i’d rather her dead in this story then stuck with Robert. Its a kinder fate |

![]() ![]() ![]() I was hesitant to review this chapter. To be honest, I did not want to, and I still don’t. What happened in it was…horrific. But this story deserves to be reviewed, so I will do it. “The rain was cold and sharp and the grey light of morning made Elia feel” Weather like this may now and forever make Elia sad and unhappy. “there were more wars to be fought” A war on multiple fronts…the prophecy told to Cersei stated that Kings are going to become as common as coppers. “punish those that had harmed her family” Elia and Ned’s love for each other has been both a blessing and a curse for them. “if worst came to worse, both Lord Fowler’s twins were within the city” … “it had not stopped her from playing a part in the murder of her brother” Ashara Dayne chose hate. She got her revenge on Doran Martell for using her as a tool in his schemes. Now she is fighting not just for survival but for power. “She would have to die. Ashara. Lauryn. And Ashara’s son as well” Doran used Ashara, Elia’s best friend, to get Brandon Stark out of the way so he would be disinherited and Eddard would become the heir to Winterfell. “I will not return until these traitors are dead” Balon Swann is a man of his word. If he makes a promise, he will keep it. He is never going back to King’s Landing until his mission is complete. “Her uncle was silent for a long moment before he bent his head to her” He was forced by King Aerys II Targaryen to execute Robert Baratheon. He turned his cloak and switched sides at the Battle of the Trident. Fought in the Combat at the Tower of Joy, and is one of the few who knows that Rickard is the biological child of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. Became one of the first Queensguard, a group of bodyguards who are sworn to protect and take orders only from the Queen. “from White Harbor who had come to swear her his service” Trust no one… “inviting them each to send a child to foster at the Red Keep” This is a terrible world. “Oberyn was still alive and was traveling through Dorne to gain the support” This is a big problem for Ashara. She has to kill Oberyn, and quickly. But Oberyn, despite no longer being in his prime, is as dangerous as ever, and he now has Obara with him who will protect and defend him to the death. “none of the men on the council would go so far as to try and forbid her” They would suffer Ned’s wrath if they do, and they know it. “it was not the time to pick at that wound” In my opinion Hoster in some ways has it even worse than her. Plus it may be a good thing to have a Hand who isn’t going to tell you what you want to hear. Hoster’s daughter Lysa is now a prisoner in Winterfell. “Until the weather abated then travel by the sea was too dangerous” Ned is going to become increasingly frustrated that he is stuck on Pyke and unable to move. “Dacey Mormont had escaped from Winterfell and rode down to Moat Cailan” Rickard will doubtless do everything he can to bring justice to the Boltons and take Winterfell back. “nor did she think twice about giving the voice permission to enter” Elia made a terrible mistake here, and the cost of it was something she values greatly. “it was meant for the red witch” DiscordantSymphony, I firmly believe that there is no way that Elia isn’t going to think of and consider it; having Melisandre brought back from Dragonstone and beseeching her to restore her daughter to life. There are already consequences for Torrhen being murdered and then resurrected. Might as well resurrect another one. “wed to a northern heretic” Elia is going to bring a great and terrible wrath upon the people who are targeting and have already struck at her family. “they have forgotten to do it” They failed to protect her and her children. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well Elia you got your crown, and now it’s looks like one by one you’re losing your children. It’s fitting that after you had Renly an under 10 years old boy killed to become king that you’ve lost two daughters now… |
![]() ![]() ![]() Come on, I know Lyanna is not really a smart person but not knowing how to read and write? That is unbelievable. Lyanna is not a smallfolk peasant. And how come even Rickard or the very observant Ned also do not know this? Rickard was planning to make her future Lady of Storm's End, it would be expected of her to have enough knowledge to at least run a large household, which at the very least includes being literate and at good at arithmetic. |
![]() ![]() ![]() What a sweet chapter. |
