This was a lot of fun! The title made me think it would be an amnesia fic, and I'm glad it wasn't (though I like those too) because this was refreshing and a great S4 AU!

Congrats on the timely completion of another entertaining Caskett story. Am always impressed by this author's commitment to a story as evidenced by their frequent updates.
Don't understand "Guest" reviewers who complain about a writer's bias toward Kate (at the expense of Rick). Rick has always been ready for a relationship with Kate, so it is Kate who has to accept the same idea and so it is her character who requires the greatest growth to effect the coming together of Caskett.
Am proud of this story's Kate for not exposing Alison to Rick, but working through their "issues" on their own. This is not a matter of Kate keeping secrets from Rick, but rather this shows Kate's personal integrity as she knows that those who throw mud usually get some of it blown back on themselves...so no up side for engaging in that. Am glad that this writer shows us the Kate whose principles and integrity are maintained at the high level for which we admire her.

Such a good story and what a cute ending in French although I do detest seeing that your stories are coming to an end. Don't you just love it that Rick brings flowers or treats. It's so nice to get flowers. I'm rambling. Sorry-jet lag.

I really don't like that Kate isn't telling Castle about what happened between her and Allison and that she isn't telling Castle the truth about Allison. It's just seems like more of the same from Kate, more secrets. How is there is relationship going to work if it is already starting off on lies and secrets. Castle has every right to know what was going on with Allison and what she really wanted from him, and Kate zero right to keep it from him. I think you are a good author, but you are so team Kate that it gets annoying because you always make Castle the bad guy and you screw him over a lot of the time. It's a bit unfair.

I like that, in this story, Beckett learned quickly not to take Castle for granted, and to consider his feelings as well as her own. Just as happy to see Alison vanquished; she was not very likeable (good job drawing the antagonist character), but I also appreciated that Castle had already begun to realize that she didn't measure up to his memories from his youth. As usual, so much of your good humor comes across in this story. Much fun to read. Thanks!
