| xxx Rob M xxx chapter 18 . 20h
Even though it ended on a cliffhanger, I thought this was a really important chapter. Casey's advice here finally forced Sarah to realize something Ive been waiting to see her understand for awhile now, that she needs to base this decision on what she wants for her life.
Just like she cant choose to leave just because she has feelings for Chuck, she cant stay just because she thinks its what she should do either. Graham told her flat out that if she comes back, she going to get the dirtiest, nastiest missions hes got. If Sarah isnt completely on board with being an agent, if her hearts not in it, shes going to end up dead. So I was glad to see her finally focus on the real heart of the question.
Now Ive got faith that youre going to give us a happy ending of some kind, so now Im really curious about how Sarah works everything out.
The other thing I found kind of interesting is Sarahs comment about how Casey's moral code was stronger than hers. Is this just how Sarah sees herself, or is this supposed to be an actual acknowledgment that shes actually done things to innocent people. something shes only kind of hinted at in a roundabout way in previous chapters. Im just curious because I always find the question of just what people think Sarahs done as an agent fascinating.
Anyway, with the decision made, Im very curious about the next chapter..cant wait

Yaaaaaaas, this was such a great chapter. Gotta love Casey. What I really enjoy is how much weight you put into Sarah's emotions. You highlight her struggles so well and it's interesting to read and the progression of the story flows from that. It's more realistic than 'well Chuck is gonna make everything better now' . So a choice has been made and I'll be patiently waiting to see where this awesome story goes.

Sarah...you are one wicked woman. This chapter was devilishly clever. It had no sex scene, in fact it had no Chuck. I think if you'd told your readers ahead of time that the chapter would be like that, there would be a LOT of grumbling.
And yet I hung on every word. Enter Casey, who you again maintain to the guy we all kno and love, even if his back story is different. The intensity of Sarah's soul searching has reached its peak for sure. Love the 'stay in the car' reference by the way. I'm assuming that was intentional. But I love the way Casey forced her to really look inside herself. To realize that maybe, just maybe, this was not a choice she had made. That she didn't chose this life or service.
But the cliffhanger? That was truly evil. What a amy to leave a chapter to ensure that we will be waiting with baited breath. Very well played.

Oh my god! I need the next chapter NOW

Brilliant chapter once again... I compliment you on your easy flowing and purposeful dialogue... the ending however has left me frustrated to know Sarah's choice... I am toddler-level upset right now! I will now hold my breath until you give the next update... what happens next is up to you...

I can't tell you how excited I was to see that you updated this amazing story. Really made my day. Have to say I loved the introduction of Casey into the mix. He fit perfectly into this universe as someone, maybe the only one that watched over her. Really perfectly done. Plus the lack of resolution means we get one more chapter of anticipation lol. Thanks for that! ;) And the lack of Chuck in this chapter didn't bother me at all. It fits where she is at in the story. Just curious how he reacted to her disappearing for a day after what had happened between them. He must have wondered why she wasn't around after that almost life changing moment. Can't wait to read her choice soon.

Aaah. Casey. I didn't see that coming. I didn't think he'd be her contact, but I'm glad you did weave him into this AU and I love how you've portrayed him as her mentor in this terrible moment of indecision for her and pretty much the only true friend she has had so far. This was a great chapter, as usual, even if Chuck wasn't really in it. :) I sure hope that in the next chapter we'll see what Sarah has decided. Hopefully, what Casey said will encourage her to talk to Chuck, even if initially it will be to say goodbye to him, giving him the opportunity to persuade her. Or he'll just run into her again before she gets a chance to disappear. :)
Hope to see the next chapter soon.

Sarah certainly is in a tough position here, having never really had a 'normal' life and now she has a taste of what it could be like...balanced with her sense of duty whether it is misguided or not. Can't wait for more!

Excellent update as always, I'm starting to get anxious now that it's really getting down to the wire here. And I love that her contact was Casey, wasn't expecting him to be in this, and it was a very pleasant surprise. Eagerly awaiting the next one!

I always suspected (hoped) Casey would make an appearance, but not in the way he did. Well done: Casey, you do have a soft side - he has given Sarah a way out. Sarah is facing the biggest mission of her life: live in a normal world with Chuck or become the Ice Queen forever. Well written chapter with yet more twists and turns ahead.

A few surprises. First thinking it was Carina, Bryce then Casey wow, sure had me going there. It will be interesting to see what she chooses but either way she will never be settled. Love for the job or love for Chuck - equally important to her. But Casey hinted very subtle that he knew what her decision would be - even before he caught up to her, he knew. Is Chuck the mark? I mean it would be interesting to see this pan out. Would she go as far to get rid of someone like Chuck or Ellie or Devon just to please Graham. Maybe this is a test to see if she would actually kill Chuck if the assignment warranted it? Does Graham know more than he is letting on. He sure seems to be in a hurry. Plus Casey - has to know more that he is letting on.
Please continue...great job

No Chuck... Nice. My heart was thuddering snd my body was shivering as I read this.
If she gets on that plane Im gonna cry and make very mean, unnecesary, false, abusive comments about you.
One thing that I didn't like though was that Sarah wants 'sex'. She doesnt want love. She wants 'sex'. Or am I missing something? Cause for a minute there I thought she was going to grab a random guy and screw his brains out, not 24 hours after making love to Chuck.
Thank god she didn't.
I would love to see Assassin Sarah try to live in the real world. But I also am still hoping that she does tell Chuck the truth and he surprsies her by telling her that he loves her and wants to give her a life that she had been denied for a decade.
