Good fic. I think, out of everything, your reading and characterisation of C.C is the biggest issue here though. All of her behaviour up to this point... It just doesn't fit, and she's at this miserable and pathetic point because of her out of character actions and behaviour. It's a shame, and it does sour the fic.

I would feel bad for C.C. but she's been such a non-factor here, by her own design mind you as she didn't try and help her new contractor, just left in in prison for the entire time till he, though his own machinations, broke himself out.

However, there seems to be a glaring flaw with this plan. They needed 2 Codes to carry out their plan, and Lelouch has V.V.'s, making him an imperfact code bearer seeing how he still has his geass. How the hell are they going to convince him to help them as Charles knows his son hates him with every fiber of his now immortal being?

He's more likely to spite him and drive Charles insane, or just out him from power as yes, Schenizel in power is dangerous, but seeing the mess Charles and V.V. have left, he would need years just to clean up the state.

Also, yes Suzaku, you're an idiot but you're an useful idiot which arguable makes you the most dangeorus kind.

Well, V.V. got fucked, and I say it took too long. Man was driven by a childish sense of petty selfishness that has be wondering how Charles even managed to not shoot him himself.

As for Lelouch's geass, it's an gamble-which I think fits him really well he needs to have stronger will to use it on you, in a sense-it's truly the power that only a king could have, because who can say they're more willful then a king?

Though, if he managed to take V.V.'s code, which I doubt, then Charles' plans are screwed as Lelouch might not be as petty, but he is petty and learning that all this murder, lies and wars were driven because his father wanted those Thought Elevators...well, whose to say the one in Japan isn't hit with a FLEIJA?

But more likely, I'm betting he just saw enough of V.V.'s memories before the gremlin wakes up to see that the Thought Elevators are important to his father.

Fun chapter though, it was interesting that they moved the FLEIJA to Pendragon, I was expecting him to stick it in a Thought Elevator to ruin Charles plans. Though now that he knows Thought Elevators are a thing I suppose that plan is still an option.

And without him even knowing it, V.V's plans are starting to crumble beneath him. Sure, he can kill Lelouch now, but that wasn't what he wanted, he wanted to taunt him with the knowledge his wife did all that for him, and it was for naught.

But in the end, she found the stregnth to resist him, because of someone else he used against him, and because of that, his ideals and efforts won't be erased, they'll continue to live so killing him would be more of a hollow victory.

My money's on V.V. making Kaguya do this on the hope she'll get her husband back. The little troll seems to love messing with Lelouch and by extention, his mother's memory, but the thing is, now that Suzaku knows she's the reason two cirties have been destroyed, he can snap her out of it as he was played just like her, and look what that got them. They can't trustt this stranger, as they don't even have a means to speak to Kallen who can comfirm Lelouch is still alive, so for all they know, he's already dead.

Hey,to great author,don't give up. I think the concept,the plot twist and how you handle characterization of character,is veryy good. Not everything must be perfect. I think why your story is great,because you make different approach from canon. Just like Megiddo,you make certain different plot that make story is compelling to watch. It's okay to make kaguya more darker than usual. After all,she is forced to be heir even thought she is just a teenager. And from me,lelouch have plan to make grand escape,to show the world that he is back from the hell.
