Let me start by saying that I am incredibly happy to see an addition to the Harry Potter/Walking Dead archive, there are so few new stories added and even fewer that I find myself properly enjoying so I was more than a bit pleased with this first chapter of your newest work. I noticed in your A/N that you mentioned you've only just begun watching Walking Dead and that you're still on the first season; a word of advice from a seasoned vet and all around Walking Dead fanatic? Hold on tight because, after the first season or two where they're sort of testing the waters, they don't hold back at all. The show is raw and beautiful and just perfection.

A few bits of constructive criticism to lend you. I'm not sure about how it works in the comics because I've yet to read past the first issue, but the term zombie is never used in the show. The creator of the Walking Dead comics and producer of the show actually explained that it's due to the fact that zombies don't exist in the Walking Dead television universe, there's no such thing as zombie movies or comics or games. The term zombie doesn't exist, which is why they are referred to as walkers, biters, rotters, and the like. In the end, you're the author and you can use whatever term you please, but I thought that that might be something you'd be interested in knowing.

Anyway, overall your story is really good. You did a great job setting up the back story and explaining how Harry got to where he was without making things too dry for us readers. My only critique is to beware of run ons and rambling thoughts, they can sometimes be tricky to avoid and have the terrible effect of sometimes muddying up the point you're trying to get across. If you're in need of a beta to help you tighten up those spots, I'd be more than willing to lend a hand, just shoot me a PM if you're interested.

That being said, again, I really enjoyed this first chapter and look forward to the next!

I think I'd like for Merle to still be on the roof and intact. You haven't gotten far into the series; so, I won't spoil anything for you. But, in the WD, consequences of decisions and choices really come back to haunt people at times. I would rather like to see a tale where Harry keeps his magic hidden for a really really long time. I love crossovers in general, but I noticed something a bit odd ALL of the HP/WD crossovers I've read and am currently reading. It seems like HP can't last one chapter without having to use magic publicly to save someone or do something impressive. If you decide to go with cannon events or at least cannoneques-y events, I would like Harry to use really subtle magic to kind of tip things one way or the other without characters really noticing. Maybe only Daryl figures it out... and, the two of them get to find humor throughout you story despite all the post-apocalyptic depression. It would be a nice contrast.

All I can say is 'omg, another hpxwalking dead x-over!' You automatically win me with just that, but adding slash potential...I'm caught. Plz, plz daryl/harry. Love it! Oh, and I'm so torn about merle...if there was a way to bring him back and the group still come to respect/like/appreciate daryl then I would say go for it. But for my hopes of daryl/harry, then I can see merle being a problem. They could bond over lost family and stuff...ugh, just do what you do. I've always liked your fics and I can't see myself stopping now. You're the best!
