Just wanted to say I’m thoroughly enjoying the story. Great work so far and I agree that posting the story on AO3 would be a good idea. It’s used more frequently and has better formatting/tags.

Saw a couple of people expressing their opinions on Shirou’s decision to blame the kidnappings solely on Orochimaru instead of taking the oportunity to take Danzo down. Guys think of it this way: Shirou made that decision. We have no way of knowing whether or not he’s aware of Danzo. The author mentioned this particular plot hole in their previous note.

So, Shirou made what HE thought was the best decision with the knowledge he currently has. The attack during the exams being prioritized in his mind.

If I was Shirou I wouldn’t have done it that way either. But guess what? I’m not Shirou. You’re not Shirou either. Characters are meant to be flawed. Haven’t you seen those horror movie characters that go off alone and get killed first?

Of course people are entitled to their own opinions, but I’m tired of seeing them act as if they have the answer to the universe.

Shiro cornered Danzo, he can't call Shiro out on the legitimacy of his information without exposing himself and his own involvement.

It’s disappointing that you’re using artificial stupidity on the Shiro’s part. He had no reason not to mention the ROOT operative and no reason to believe said operative wouldn’t report his encounter to Danzo. You had him not speak up for no reason other than so you could shoe horn Danzo being suspicious of him and handing him some power to threaten the guy with, though you seem to be skipping that and instead using this artificial stupidity as a way to save Danzo for later use in the plot.

By the way, regarding Raiton magnetism via fuinjutsu in the previous chapter, that is impossible. Lightning has nothing to do with magnetism. You might have been thinking in terms of electromagnetic, but not only is lightning totally different from electricity, magnetic fields are made of photons. Electrons have nothing to do with the electromagnetic spectrum nor with magnetics. Besides, elemental chakra is just chakra being used like a natural element. It doesn’t have the actual properties found in nature, which is why they can do things impossible with actual elements such as sharp wind and combining lightning with water.

There is no reason to not mention the ninja he fought in detail. He could have killed two birds with one stone by subtly implicating ROOT and therefore Danzo. There was no risk in doing so, only benefits, and you had him choose not to despite considering it and didn’t even give him a reason.
