Reviews for The Other Mr Bingley |

Corkey chapter 12 . 11/23 Very enjoyable. I am not a fanatic that insists on D&E and only D&E. This story is the essence of what a variation is meant to be. Thank you so much. |
SunPho3n1x chapter 13 . 9/17 What a great story! I am generally not in favor of pairings that exclude Darcy and Elizabeth, but this was very fun and well written. Thank you for writing this. |
Miva4 chapter 8 . 6/28 I started reading this story assuming that it would eventually be Elizabeth&Darcy. I suppose there's still time for Darcy to stir himself and somehow convince Elizabeth to marry him instead, but I'm starting to lose hope. And it's just too sad to imagine Darcy losing his chance with her. |
Vickety chapter 10 . 6/10 Thank you again! I really love your older Mr. Bingley character. He is intelligent and courageous. Your writing is excellent. |
Guest chapter 11 . 5/13 Disgusting because it's not a Darcy and Elizabeth happily ever after |
embracethebright chapter 11 . 5/2 I like this story. I'm also glad you wrote it. When I was looking I couldn't find a story what didn't have Elizabeth marring Darcy. I mean how many ways can you tell the same story? I see 1 story where Elizabeth marries Charles and its only 10k words. When looking for a story with a Charles/Elizabeth paring this came up. But it makes me think about other fandoms and how diverse and creative the plots are. Writers will make relationships with the most random of characters. They will put villains with protagonists. side characters will get the male lead. But for some reason people don't stray from the original with Pride and Prejudice. So thank you for writing this story. You didn't just write a story with a different plot from the original. You also finished it. and You wrote it well. I prefer James to Darcy. Its like when you are a adult woman with a fully developed frontal lobe you no longer find the Darcys of the world attractive. James is the dream. Darcy is barely above low bar. and that mainly because of his income. ️ |
CreativeLaura chapter 12 . 3/18 I love this story. It is a believable and heartwarming possibility that I enjoy reading over and over. Thank you for sharing your talent. |
maggieci chapter 10 . 12/14/2023 Excellent story! What I liked most was that James filled the protector role where Darcy couldn't or wouldn't. It was satisfying to have someone do all the right things. Love all your stories! |
Bookwormkat1 chapter 12 . 12/12/2023 a lovely story, thank you for writing and sharing with us. |
Mantharie81 chapter 1 . 10/22/2023 There are so few P&P stories where Elizabeth is not paired with Mr. Darcy that I was so excited to give this a try. It has started wonderfully and my hope is that it ends just as well. |
Elisabeth123 chapter 13 . 6/21/2023 Gosh I loved this story! Reading it for 2nd time and loved it even more! |
Blue Rose Ink chapter 2 . 4/25/2023 Dang! You got me rooting for Captain Bingly and Elizabeth!? I'm seriously not even caring about Darcy!? That is CRAZY! |
somethingamiss chapter 13 . 4/10/2023 Though I generally do not like Elizabeth paired with someone other than Darcy, I love Captain James and their relationship! Also, I appreciate the epilogue. I always want to know how ODC or James and Elizabeth in this case live after the main plot has finished. Maybe some people find it too cheesy, but I always want more closure, haha. Thank you for sharing! |
Elisabeth123 chapter 11 . 3/15/2023 Brilliant story! I love James! Sigh! Just loved this story! |
Lillepus chapter 12 . 2/23/2023 Well. Having read the whole thing I have a few opinions. Firstly, one of the things I enjoyed the most is how WELL it is written! A lot of fanfic is poorly written (but still contain very good ideas deserving of being investigated). This however, from a purely linguistic point of view, was a treasure of a text. The dialogue especially is extremely well written, and I know that part is for many the hardest thing to write. I am disappointed I suppose at the ending. It makes sense and is, I must admit, a natural ending to the story, but still - I suspect a lot of people, however much they might have enjoyed the story, would have wished for another conclusion. Still, it is certainly a story worth reading and very nice to see Elizabeth being courted as she always should have been. |
