Reviews for Always my Sly Bunny, Always my Dumb Fox |

![]() ![]() ![]() The plot so far is really well thought out. It’s not like it doesn’t make sense and they happen upon evidence by accident. I feel like the author really has put some research in to make this story seem like a legit criminal case! It’s very intriguing and even more so from the 2016 movie |
![]() ![]() ![]() Aw this first chapter…I’m a bit sad hearing this is old Nick…I hope Judy is ok.. |
![]() ![]() ![]() how dare you besmirch the good name of Yax by associating him with those bullies there isn't even a yak in the group! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Heavy thoughts here, and probably the best explanation of death I have ever seen or heard. Thank you for that and this excellent story. |
![]() ![]() ![]() To anyone reading comments to figure out if this fic is worth the time investment … It’s totally worth it! Please do check this epic out. This story has some of the best banter between nick and Judy. I really like how you let them bounce off each other. It felt both in line with the film but also beyond into that zone of romance. Not like ott or extra. Just a lot of fun banter that was very easy to read in Nick an Judy’s voice. The inclusion of their friends and workmates also flowed well but certainly left no doubt that this was a very Nick and Judy centric story. Your setup… Good premise. Interesting start… The start felt very Redwall. Classic novel looking back into ones past as it’s being told to the next generation. When i read the first chapter set in the future with Nick telling the story I was not sure I wanted to keep reading considering it appeared that Nick had become sole grand parent. That could well mean something bad happened to Judy and that is why Nick was there solo telling the story. But chapter 2 … right in there and I was immediately along for the ride. you quickly me hooked and although im late to the party in finding this fic, I’m glad I sat down to read it. It’s actually at that length where having read it all now in segments Over the last week there is so much that has gone on and so much of a emotional roller coaster that it takes a careful moment for me to remember everything that happened. I’m left feeling like I need time off from reading long stories so I can let this simmer and enjoy the memory of the adventure you took me on. A true epic. The story felt well thought out. sections like in tundra town with the attacks out there, the impound yard, chases, fights … so many instances where I was really feeling the need to see what came next. It was gripping. I had at least two nights where I keept reading till I could go no more. Takes a very good story to keep me awake past midnight….. Then there were the many scenes that were lighter but still rich in emotion like bunny burrow and their apartment. You stayed just long enough in the scenes to allow things to play out and I didn’t find any places that dragged on. The final fight I did need to carefully re read just before Judy dived in for the final tackle as I got a bit confused in my mind over the diffrent mammals positions. But that might just be me, it was a pretty quick, frantic fight and the feeling of that certainly came though strong. Once the case was busted right open and completely solved… the cliffhanger made me wonder if it was about to link right up to the start … Nick alone with his grand kids … but I also knew they had kids and grand kits … so while the cliffhanger with Judy face down was right on I think the burial scene began to overdo it for me. I kinda hurried though that sad scene, wondering who it really was for because Nick and Judy clearly had at least enough time together for procreation, so it could not be her (yet). So I wondered till the later in life reveal happened over the longer term survival of Judy. Glad you didn’t keep us waiting too long there. The story wind down was otherwise solid. It left me satisfied but also wanting more. So good job. This would be one of my top zootopia fan fictions. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Nice try for the first half of this chapter tried to trick me but i didnt fall for it but the story over all was good the only thing i would have like to seen was more sexy babter/joke from both of them also it was kinda wierd judy and nick was the only couple mentioned throught the whole story interspecies that is but other than those few things was a really good story |
