The pairing aside, it seems to be more of a background thing with occasional scenes to emphasize they're together.

I love this fanfic so much. I always come back to it, it’s literally my comfort fanfic lol.

I'm mostly just trying to do the equivalent of AO3 bookmarking but I literally just made this account for this attempt and making the account alone took me at least 5 minutes to figure out and I still have no idea how this site works but it wouldn't allow my current attempt to be either blank or contain just the emoji

I do not understand why Tom went into a trap so unprepared. It makes no sense.

That said, the ritual HAS to come back and bite dimentional-hopping Voldie in the ass.

It works on "blood of the enemy", but this Harry is NOT the enemy of Voldemort -they haven't even met. (Plus the soulmate thing)

He also said "blood of the son, willingly given". But Tom is neither Voldemort's son NOR willing.

It may not be a fullblown Neville's exploding cauldron, but SOMETHING will fuck up. That's how potions work.

(Remember Flitwick's story of the single letter mispronounciation causing a buffallo to fall on the casters chest?)

However, HOW that fuckup shows is harder to predict. So I am VERY curious.

(I also clearly mixed up this story with another story, so ignore my previous comment about irritating political correctness. That was no you. Your story is awesome from one end to the other.)

You know what would have been funny?

If , in one life, Tom were a popular football star that only dayed cheerleaders at high school, and Harry a fat (also male) geek with acne and bad fashion taste.

And since Harry didn't dare look the potential bully in the eyes, it took ages before their eyes met, and they remembered who they are.

Prompting the football captain to ditch the hot bimbo to take the fat (male) geek to prom instead.

Now THAT is a love story no one will ever write!

Alternatively Tom is a cheerleader/golddigget and Harry a poverty-strivken fat and ugly geek.

While women is less hung up on looks than men, that specific setting is still unlikely -and thus hillarious. xD

(Although it would be an unholy -and likely amoral- love story if one of them was an actual dog and the other a girl.

I blame that idea on accidentally clicking a link to a beastiality porn site yesterday. BOY are there many videos with girls and dogs in them! Oo)

First of all; This is a bit of a crackfic. Which means you can do all the crazy stuff you want and people who realize it will crack it up to being crack and not think to hard about it. (Serious stories need to worry about logic and suchlike, crack-ficks... not so much.)

Secondly; There ARE theories that the myth of (western) dragons came from finding dinosaur sceletons (you can actually see the likeness in, say, a T-rex mixed with a Pterosaur -say if they died on top of eachother, and a medival pessant found their skeleton.

And dinos were most definitely reptiles.

So there IS an inherent logic to be able to use parseltounge to speak to it.

(Although it would most likely be like a norwegian speaking with someone who speaks sweedish (at best) or Icelandic (at worst) or an Italian speaking with someone who speaks Portuguese (at best) and Romanian (at worst);

You can easily communicate with the first (with a slight accent and a few worss different), and ypu can kinda-soeta understand the second well enough if both parties speak really, really slow and you think hard about the words.

Related languages CAN be understood by all who speaks one of them. Even IF some are much, much harder to understand than others.

What makes Parseltounge more likely to be understood more easily is that snakes comunicate via pheremons, not sound or bodylanguage (perhaps why one must be born with the skill and can't learn it.)

And they are pretty much the same in all creatures I think. (I require more study of it to be sure, but in theory it's all the same.)

(Y'know... Knife-vielding Anarchist with blue-and-black punk hair, constantly threatening people, and doing thungs that may be sweet for his family or may be selfish -you can't tell with him-, calling his brother a pathetic little creep, and acting like an evil asshole...until he does something nice which is so OOC it's mindboggling, and says "Fuck, no!" a lot.

Disturbing how a stalker fan girl is invited to join the object of her delusions just after attacking someone. Way to reward psychotic behaviour. Not enough he married the stalker the first time around.

I love this wonderful story so far. I am looking forward to learning how Voldemort was able to change dimensions and how he got that idea. I have so many questions.
