![]() ![]() ![]() I was 50% sure that the clovers were being used to make the poisen and 50% sure that it was being used to distribute the poisen, that raised to 80% sure the clovers were for distribution when the news prod cast said " a string of fires" hope you weren't going for surprise, ended up being more like dread for me haha. Great story though I love it so far, keep up the great work :). |

![]() ![]() ![]() This was a really great story. You have a great grasp of the characters and the slow pacing worked well within the world you set up. I appreciated the deft way you handled situation of taboo, prejudice and acceptance. I am a mental health professional and I also appreciated how you worked in the ways that mental health has propagated prejudice because in many ways, mental illness as a concept is very subjective. Anyway, as I said, this is very good and I hope to see more from you in the future. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Yay, finished the story. That was amazing. Thanks for the awesome read. :D |
![]() ![]() ![]() Heh. Nightvision certainly comes in handy in situations like this. I just hope Nick isn't about to do something very stupid... |
![]() ![]() ![]() "Please! I swear to God, I'll marry Nick before anyone you pick out for me." I sense foreshadowing! I'm on chapter 15 so far :D |
![]() ![]() A sweet ending. Looking forward to reading more stories from you. Enjoy your break and the New Year. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Thank you again for such an enjoyable story. Aside from a really interesting story arc, I love that you brought Nick and Judy together but gradually and not without obstacles. I think you did really well at keeping everyone in character and the whole thing is just so well put together. Looking forward to a potential sequel... |

![]() ![]() ![]() First of all, you're doing a wonderful job with this story. However, I would like to respectfully disagree with you on the police partnerships. It seems like a self defeating argument. At least for precinct one. If the mammals are allowed to choose their own partners, then using the pairings to say that Zootopia hasn't reached full integration is just not accurate. I know this is your story and you can do what you want, I just wanted to point this out. So if the mammals are allowed to pick their partners, then logically speaking they would pair up with someone they can work well with. You yourself have pointed this out before. Lowell and Wolford are both wolves, and when you put Nick with them, you talked about how being wolves helped with how well they worked together. Something along the lines of how the two of them made a sort of pack. See when you give the choice to the officers you leave the realm of the group and enter the realm of the individual. You would have to look at each pairing, compare the personality types of the animals, how well they get along, all sorts of factors. It's not just "Well we are both predators we will obviously work well together". That simply just isn't the case. It's the reason Judy and Nick work well together. They have chemistry, and not just the romantic kind. It's not as if there are Pred and Prey precincts. And what you said about the other precincts, well I agree with you on that but then again I think most people would. So I disagree that just because there aren't exactly the same number of prey/pred pairings, it means that there is a divide. When it comes down to precinct one at least, it all seems to boil down to personal preference. That's just a fact of life that a lot of people need to understand. People can't be put into nice little categories based on just one of their traits, or even a multitude of their traits. At the end of the day everyone is an individual and they will make their own decisions. To see the pairings as the result of unseen and unconscious bias sounds like one of those simple explanations that you mentioned. Now I'm not trying to be rude or hate on your story or you. I just felt that perhaps I might get you to think about this from another angle. I am really liking this story by the way. It's well written, well thought out, and novel length so I actually have something to read. I will admit, I see Nick and Judy more as best friends than lovers, but you have been handling that relationship quite well. Again, to reiterate myself, this is not an attack on you or your story. This is simply a reader expressing his opinion. |
