Weird thought when the police chief said that a stomach flu had been doing the rounds; aren't all the cops mostly different species from each other? They wouldn't be susceptible to each other's diseases in the slightest, would they?

The feeeeeeeels! I’ve loved every word of this story. This has been one of the most “realistic” I’ve read. Many tend to jump right in to Nick and Judy’s relationship, whereas this one actually took deeper and deeper steps into the lake of issues surrounding it, combining it with the main plot. Bravo! I can’t wait to read more!

I got the same sinking feeling...too quiet...

The feelings you’ve portrayed between Nick and Judy in this story are remarkably real. No magic love at first sight, no sudden switch. A beautiful friendship blossoming into something deeper, with all the fear showing through proving how deep they care for each other, for fear of hurting the other via an irrevocable scar.

Well that escalated quickly. I almost thought Norman might have been one of the blind followers, until Flip called the station.

I’ve been in scrapes at work before at work. I’ve had close calls with wrecks. I’ve Ben been hurt fighting with a combative suspect. The worst feeling I’ve had, however, is hearing my Sergeant scream for help on the radio, not knowing what’s going on and finding little solace in the fact I was only 3 blocks away. I can’t imagine seeing him or my partner in mortal danger right in front of me. We train for it, we mentally prepare for it...but when it comes down to it, all we can do is keep fighting and pray we’ll make it out alive to our families.

And so begins Flip’s reign of terror...I was expecting this with all the event activities going on. I’m surprised the prey animals are being affected though. Maybe I missed something in the earlier part of the story?
