A good chapter for the aftermath of the second task and Harry and Hermione's big date. They should have destroyed Molly's howler before it started and then she would have send Harry one for not listening to her first howler.
Sad Barty snr stilled died. Junior must have paid him a visit during the night. Harry could have asked why Madam Bones was not investigating the death instead of Fudge?
Good to plan with Dobby's help for the summer. He wouldn't need to go back to No4 this time.

I thought there was going to be something different and unique Harry would do other than flying and using the summon charm. He should have mastered the Heavens shield thing, or done some cool thing with runes. Anything other that what was in canon really, but nooooo, he has to risk his life flying when really he should be avoiding that so he doesn't screw up his last chance to live.. He still got a spike through him.. Jeeze.

This story is interesting so far. I like this Dobby a lot, and this Harry is more self assured while retaining what makes him Harry. Nice.

I just have one question: I understand Harry leaving the diadem Horcrux for now, but what about the vanishing cabinet - is Harry going to destroy that to be prevent Draco letting Death Eaters into Hogwarts if things get that bad, or does he prefer to leave it intact so that if things do get that far, he'll know what Draco has planned and won't have to waste time working out what Draco's alternative plan it? I must admit, my first thought was why hasn't Harry destroyed the cabinet? My second thought gave me a reason why he might wait.

An excellent addition to the Reptilla28's challenge. It is surprising how many authors have attempted it and good deal of them have created a decent story from it. Yours is one of them.

You might want to have Harry send Sirius a wizarding tent to stay in while at the cave.

Also getting the cup horcrux from Gringotts. Even if you are planning for Harry to break in and steal it, you might wish to consider having him review wizarding laws about inheritance to see it there is a way for Sirius to obtain access to Bellatrix's vault. It would show that Harry is checking all avenues.

Now that Harry has the basilisk venom, shouldn't he destroy the diadem?

nice update, glad to see harry, cedric and fleur getting along and it seems gabrielle has a new friend, neville could use some help in classes harry should invite him to study and may be luna and neville can get together, yea they kissed and now going on a date (officially), waiting for more

Man oh man, Dumb-as-a-door can't REALLY be this thick can he? Look I love this story so far but honestly I would change the reasoning for Ron's involvement, cos the best friends shpiel makes me think he's high and not just grossly incompetent lol!

Sorry hope that didn't sound like a flame. Other than that great way to handle the chapter. Think you could do either a side story or an Omake with Krum's reaction to having to rescue Ron? That ought to be fun!

Pity Dumbledore didn't read the clue. It said that something the Champion would miss would be taken not what Dumbledore assumed what they would miss.
So no strong reaction by Ronald to Krum who saved him?
