Neglect is a type of child abuse. I had a whole lecture on it in sixth grade. There is physical, emotional, sexual, and neglect. These are all types of child abuse

Take your time Sweetpea, I have relatives who are in a similar situation such as yourself, don't beat yourself around the bush about it because right now I try to act as normal as I can be to help them, so words of advice is:

1. Don't be afraid to hug anyone trust me, hugs do miracles even for me when it comes to crying mostly. . . anyhow

2. Be active both physically and mentally, helps to be sane like me as people call me crazy due to loving sandwiches WHICH is not weird

3. Talk with someone you trust daily better yet hang out with them as it keeps a bond or two strong

And 4. Take your time . . . you can't rush things like these so take some time off to feel at ease perhaps Yoga, Hiking, basically anything that is the opposite of what a rash and irresponsible person would do (Mostly taking my own advice) and slowly I guarantee that things will look up to the bright side, it does for me.
