Perhaps you could have played a bit more with the fact that your main char is a maniac space boi who came to take over Earth. As it is, if I had never watched the show, at this point I would think that he genuinely is an orphan kid who's greatest problem is not getting adopted for his skin condition.

... Meh, this story's still cute as heck, tho. So me likes reading :P

"Breathes in" BOI THIS BE CUTE! Seriously, this thing is adorable! Okay, let me calm down ... ... This is really cute and heartwarming! And it makes sense that Zim would be attached to Ms Vannamelon because he hasn't experienced love before in his life and even though the lullaby she sings for him is kinda weird, I can't really judge it, my dad sang Thunder Road by Bruce Springsteen to me when I was a baby. What else can I say, this is a adorable little fanfic and a must read for any Invader Zim fans who also like heartwarming stuff
