zzaheera chapter 1 . 9/8
Ritalin and/or Adderall would never in a million years be prescribed to someone like the joker. They are stimulant drugs given to individuals with ADD or narcolepsy. The joker would be given anti-psychotics like clozapine, aripiprazole, risperidone etc. Ritalin doesn't "dope" anyone out, it would make a person bounce off the walls. Researching facts like this make your character more credible, especially since the story is written in 1st person. Cheers :)

I love this story, you have done a brilliant job writing Harley, one of my favourite takes on her! I read this last summer and it kept me very entertained! Can I make a suggestion for more Nightwing in future? He's awesome!

fallenqueens chapter 34 . 3/8
This fanfiction really was an emotional rollercoaster, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

I had a bit of trouble reading it at first because of the first-person point of view (I try to avoid that kind of fanfiction in general) but after reading the two first chapters and realizing how good your writing style was I decided to keep reading, which i'm glad I did.

I loved the way you introduced the characters (speaking of which, you turned Arkham into a character so interesting that I felt absorbed in his storyline even though I never really cared about him in the comics) and especially the way you built and developed the relationship between the Joker and Harley, which I think is very difficult, especially since you haven't written the Joker as a passive character, which would have been justified given that he was gaslighting Harleen into feeling compassion for him, but as a dangerous homicidal maniac while still making Harleen's obsession and eventually her love for him believable because of the way he turned the situations to his advantage at every turn: he strangles her but then confesses (or pretends to) not to have been able to do it even with Joan's offer on the table, he takes her as a hostage but does end up saving her, he hits then apologizes (but goes so far as saying it's her fault), he say hurtful things to her and then he expresses regret, etc.

It's impossible not to mention how you managed to create a Harley so different from the one that we have seen in the comics without it feeling out of character. While reading this fanfiction I even felt that you somehow developed Harleen's character, giving her more depth than she had in many adaptations.

You managed to portray her as multidimensional, a young psychiatrist who is intelligent but inexperienced and who despite her good intentions ends up being an accomplice of the Joker's crimes. You wrote her actions without excusing them and managed to make us feel compassion for Harleen, showing that she was a victim of the Joker without denying her share of responsibility as his psychiatrist.

You fully developed the Joker and Harley's characters in a way that the movie didn't (which is understandable, I guess, since the Joker and Harley weren't the main characters, at this point you could even say that the Joker was a guest star since he had very little screen time) incorporating traits of their personality that we saw in the comics but transforming them subtly, enough so that the characters remained the same without looking out of place in the universe of Suicide Squad.

You succeeded in adapting the elements of the relationship between the Joker and Harley as originally portrayed in the comics into the universe of Suicide Squad without romanticizing the darkest elements of their relationship but keeping the same intensity that makes this relationship interesting and ultimately (at least for me) something we always want to see more of.

After reading this fanfiction and having contemplated everything that happened, I inevitably tried to figure out just how much of what the Joker said and did was sincere and how much of it was untrue, to what extent did he lie, if Joan was really telling the truth when she said she was not responsible for Harleen's strangling, if the Joker had somehow managed to manipulate Joan so that she would convince Mad Dog to kill Arkham's family, (with Arkham being much more experienced than Harleen, it makes sense that the Joker would like to get rid of him to be able to have free rein during their sessions)... I feel it was your intention to let this kind of thing purposely vague, though.

The sinister atmosphere of your story was sometimes almost suffocating due to the dark and disturbing aspects of some scenes that were so well written to the point where I practically found myself compelled to feel what the characters felt, which is always a good thing when you read psychological horror.

This is one of the best thrillers I have read in a long time. Thank you for writing it.
7serotonin chapter 33 . 3/4
Stunning! Seriously! Incredible, and realistic, and some really seriously amazing writing 3 and you made me stay up until 4:30AM arggghhhh!
7serotonin chapter 31 . 3/4
Ahh my heart stopped. Harley! Sweet baby! Poor thingShe's never gonna have the life she's imagining with the Joker, and I hope she realizes it soon
7serotonin chapter 30 . 3/4
Ahhhhhh this was such a fun, wild ride. Loved the little note about Pamela reclaiming Arkham rather than escaping. And I'm glad the Joker is... well this sounds horrible, but I'm glad you're writing Joker abusive.
7serotonin chapter 26 . 3/4
Ooookay I wish you wrote Suicide Squad because your "Would you die for him?" line was much much better than theirs, lol. Loved the interactions with Harley and Pamela, I'm wondering what kind of role you have planned for her in the breakout. And I really appreciated Frost's little monologue and his insight into the Joker
7serotonin chapter 22 . 3/4
Okay, sure, Harley shouldn't isolate herself from her family but UH DAD HAS NO RIGHT TO PHYSICALLY BULLY HER LIKE THAT! Especially if she's supposedly being physically abused. Sheesh. Her dad seems like a real shitter tbh
