![]() ![]() ![]() This is already incredibly heartbreaking, but reading the author's note adds an extra layer of sadness to it. I'm hoping it's become easier over the years. Thank you for writing this |

![]() ![]() ![]() Awww, I am so sorry of your loss :'( I think you did a good job writing in Data's perspective. *Slow applause* |
![]() ![]() ![]() Excellently done, my dear. I'm sorry for your loss... |
![]() ![]() ![]() I almost skipped this because I have an exaggerated aversion to Tasha stories. Then I saw it was from you, whose work I've been reading for - can it be decades? I remember your stuff from UseNet, where I read it greedily and never commented. Even without the personal connection this piece would be brilliant. It's perfectly on point & perfectly constructed. But with it... It becomes so much MORE poignant. I'm sorry, so very sorry, for your loss. I hope writing this piece helped you in some small way. Thank you for sharing it. |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hey Alara, I've been checking your page pretty religiously because I'm a huge fan, and I was so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you're doing all right, and I just wanted to let you know that I think you're incredible. I feel like I get something new every time I reread some of your work, and you're always going to be one of my favorite authors of all time. |
![]() ![]() ![]() This is only natural to feel this way. Your mom was a big part of your life and the memory of her will linger quite probably for the rest of your life or until Jesus returns to awaken her. My sympathy on your loss, but she is only sleeping. The death that most of us experience is only temporary. It might seem forever to us, but it truly isn't. Here are a couple of Bible passages to help you understand what I mean: 1 Thess chapter 4, verses 13-18;John chapter 5, verses 28,29. |
