It took me a bit of time to get used to your style of telling this story. However I persevered and now I am enjoying your tale. I am familiar with many of your references, but a non-gamer would be lost. I am 70 years old and have been gaming since the days of Commodore and the Color Computer. I also found a PC version of the mainframe game Rogue. I quit gaming due to not having quick enough reflexes anymore to play modern Online multiplayer games. Enough about me. Taking Harry into the dungeons is a great idea you are doing it well. Although every player knows you should start with rats and sewers. I am looking forward to more chapters.

So the being forcefully brands him and the system says he's been forcefully nerfed due to that. With all this being to force Harry to go after Riddle who was going to force Harry to deal with him anyway making the whole thing pointless?

Really the only change is that Harry was nerfed by the guy. He could've just offered the item and helped. Let him know he didn't have a choice because Riddle would hunt him down on his own. So why not only brand him but nerf him if he wants Riddle dead beyond being a dick?

I get the headmaster taking on magical guardianship if there is none when going as a student. But as an underage orphan wouldn't he instead be linked to the ministry's care? The ministry which would link him to an orphanage or family. Why would a headmaster have anything to do with the kid in this situation?

Harry had nothing to do with Dumbledore beyond being a target of his manipulations. So how the fuck does a deal made with Dumbledore allow the piece of shit to brand and take Harry as payment. Harry does not belong to him in anyway. Not even as an accepted guardian.

This is a top tier piss off of a twist.
