This is my third, maybe fourth reread of Brightest Shadow, and it’s still awesome and I’m still noticing new details!

When I first saw that it was a DoS/DC crossover I was hoping for Shikako being a superhero, but this was fun too.

Love this crossover! Not a fan of Justice League and I don't really know their lore, but it's well written that I don't need to understand their background to enjoy or follow along the fic! Thank you!

I'm actually curious how Guy ended up leading the Red Lantern Corps, and whether he kept his sanity. I don't really know much about the guy, except that the community doesn't seem to like him much.

I love how the Life Entity used Shikako's mannerisms here. ['Shikako beamed. '"That is correct. You are incapable of changing the situation. Recognising your own limitations this matter is important."'] Like, that nonchalant politeness is just perfect and makes me sad that the original Life Entity wasn't like this at all.

I feel like a mention of Nekron turning and how he saw the Life Entity would help transition the scene, in the latter part of the chapter.

This story was awesome.

I'll admit I got kind of bored at times but it was still good. No one ever writes anything about the entities. I've been planning on writing something about them for years (hence the username) but didn't get started until recently (also a Naruto/ DC Xover but not published yet). I'm really glad to have read some kind of similar thing and especially for Dreaming of Sunshine.

I hate to bash on something with such a great concept but... I can't help but feel like you missed out on some great opportunities. Just to show that I'm not being a hater, I'll list a few

Shikako says "Okay, you tried, and got my butt handed to you, my turn" and is in control during the final fight
Said final fight includes summoning constructs of the rest of the Konoha 12, plus a couple of others
Nekron revives the Ninja corpses that Shikako had on her
Chiyako literally says she wants to be a light that makes the bad things go away, way to fail on delivering a deputy Ninja-Lantern
Speaking of failing to deliver, you did nothing with the seal containing a bit of White Light in the final battle
And last, but certainly not least, Shikako didn't blow up ANYTHING! Completely OOC, there should have been Touch Blasts all over the place

Like I said, great concept, way too many missed opportunities for me to favorite this

It's a really impressive story, considering it's actually finished! Not many people ever get to that point

I have to admit, I kept expecting Shikako to realize she was surrounded by comic book heroes come to life.

I really liked the story though! Thanks for writing it!
