I LOVE this! What a great insight into these characters! I'm particularly excited to see how you handle the rebels. I agree that the rebellion had to have done some nasty things - it's a war - and it was never dealt with in the show (for obvious reasons, I'm sure.) But I always imagined some of them would be troubled, PTSD or something. Anyway, I'm excited to read more.
