Actually in the prefects bathroom there is either a moving mosaic or stained glass window, I think in the books and definitely in the movies which JK Rowling personally oversaw so close enough to count. Don’t want to nitpick and I don’t know if it’s already settled later but worth mentioning

If there is a problem with iron vehicles how can students still cast magic consistently and safely on the hogwarts express. Also why does the ministry even have cars?

Wouldn’t it be smart to send a owl to Hermione and ask to join her family in France? It doesn’t get much easier to hide then being in a different country

Wouldn’t the little ritual Harry uses trip the trace? We see that Dobby using a hover charm near him is enough and the ritual obviously is at least as strong from how you described it.

Wouldn’t Harry be better off going to a lawyer to get a contract drawn up? I’m pretty sure that there are special lawyers he can go to to help protect his claim to the money he’s been promised.

Hermione watching groundhog day is a nice touch
