I find the story quite interesting so far.

A few things I don't understand though is why Harry is friends with Ron and the lack of interactions between Harry and Hermione.

You seem to be sticking as much to canon as possible yet changing some just to stick to plot. For instance Ron never actually felt bad about how he treated Hermione and had to be convinced to go find her. Where you have him being reasonable. Not that it's a bad thing just doesn't make sense to me that's all.

With all of the background information you provided I find it interesting that you skipped over his scar by 99%.

I am enjoying your story, which I recently found but I wanted to comment on your statement on Obi-Wan at the beginning of the chapter. I think in canon as it stands now, Obi-Wan was pulling his "truth from another point of view" stunts. First, Obi-Wan did never own any astromechs. He either requisitioned one when needed from the order stores (like poor R4 in Ep 3), or he borrowed Artoo from Anakin. Who was technically borrowing Artoo from Padme and the Naboo royal household. Second, note that the statement as phrased never indicated whether Obi-Wan RECOGNIZED the droid.

The grading system depends on what part of the U.K, my niece went to school in scotland and when moving to england went up a year since their grades work differently.
