Cliffhangers don't matter if you only read completed stories. Been burned too many times reading WIP stories so will rarely bother.

Isn't it weird how the stories often write themselves? I know it's happened to me and I have read other writers saying the same thing.

It was a good chapter anyway though so maybe the characters did this because they want more added then you originally planned. ;-)
