Reviews for The Murdered Do Haunt Their Murderers
District11-Olive chapter 5 . 8/13/2020
First let me just say that I LOL'd when I read your AN here that said you just turned 18. Wow I am very behind this is so funny I could cry. Anyways.

Trina: I had to go look at the blog to make sure this bitch was dead already and I am so happy. Something to look forward to like who is proud of organizing dish duty? LMFAO GABBY literally who is she I love it. WOW bitch selling out my girl. Now I can't wait to see her die like let Gabby live her life even though that life is pretty stupid and selfish geez. Alaina? My new favourite? Yeah snitches get stitches bitch.

Juliet: A closet gamer awe. I really like her but in a more muted way than the others I like I suppose. She seems like a very normal person who is happy to just be happy, which makes her likable right away. Nothing terribly standout at this point from her section. I like the mention that Shane and Blake are gone like what are they doing oooo?

Jackson: Okay this conversation was so awesome because like they know that something is weird but obviously they can't be guessing that they're all about be little death pigeons in a few days right. They really are smart and there are some definite holes in the story they've been told but it's still going to be a surprise. I didn't focus much on Jackson here but I do get the kind of pretentious nerd vibe from him like he is smart but also very confident.

Brandon: This entire POV was just breaks of me cringing and laughing. He is so blatantly himself but also so egoistical that I want to die. Gerard is a sweet baby and he must be prtected, why would he be placed with Brandon omg. I don't like him but I appreciate that he has a very distinct voice and also very clear goals for this trip. Good on you Eimer, don't give into this egomaniac you're better than this.

Audrey: I can't help but laugh when she is hoping for Harper while knowing that she is about to get Chanel/Gabby like LMFAO sorry girl. I'm impressed that Chanel was able to fight Gabby for the bed like go off. Audrey really I feel for her but at least she kind of knows how to handle herself with these two. I'm so ready for Chanel to just kill Gabby before the story even begins like wouldn't that be a vibe? "Oh shit it's murder time? I think I already started last night when this bitch tried to take my bed..." Audrey is sweet though, get some sleep babe.
District11-Olive chapter 4 . 8/13/2020
Monica: She is grating yet also hilarious so idk what to think. Her inner thoughts are so holier-than-thou but when she is in a conversation I love her snark. The art project... I can't see what the purpose of it is really but I'm sure there is one? Are they trying to get to know the kids? Idk but I loved that she literally made a middle finger that was hilarious.

Griffin: He is kind of endearing but I'm not sure if I just pity him or if I actually like him. This art thing continues to confuse me like why do they want to know so much? And then the comment about Rosalie already potentially knowing everything about him too like this feels too important to be nothing. I like that a lot of his section was about fear of being judged because like that's a huge thing for a lot of teens. Very relatable.

Blake: Honestly his desire to get moving like I feel that so hard. I can't help but love Milo for cutting of Marina even though I know that he is not the good guy here. I like that he is kind of like a ringleader but is also willing to get in and dirty sometimes judging by his conversation with Shane. I can't help but get like nervous at this game even though literally they're in zero danger. Yeah I like Blake, his leadership will probably come in handy and I think people would hesitate to hurt him.

Freya: Honestly just sitting there making flower crowns is such a vibe but also how the hell is this girl going to kill someone if she doesn't want to get dirty. Her conversation with Jeremiah was really cute even though they seem like that obnoxious ditzy couple in every school. She is kind of endearing but also I just don't like her? Make my opinions make sense honestly. Glad Blake's team won!

Alexander: I keep forgetting that romance is a thing like teenagers have relationships and crushes. It makes me sick but like kutos for adding all that lonely angst in along with the withdrawal moment here. LMFAO he is so dramatic but also this is what a man acts like who has been rejected so I can't even complain.
nevergone4ever chapter 19 . 8/9/2020
i finally caught up on this. devoted like 4-5 hours last night to reading start to finish and here i am and now i have a grasp on everyone and now i can properly read and review without being like... who's gerard again?

only took me four years and the final 13 to get here. yay me!

gerard and gabrielle are such an interesting duo. i thought it odd that gabrielle wouldn't try to find someone more tactically sound, especially considering that she's such a force all on her own and easily one of the biggest competitors. i mean, girl woulda died if it hadn't been for shane's suicide mission. very hated, very boisterous, very willing to get her hands dirty. but then again, gerard is one of the only characters who goes with the flow and is overall pretty neutral - i guess it does make sense, but this alliance is overall the gabrielle show. i have a feeling he'll do whatever she asks to happen, no matter if he agrees or not. they're gonna butt heads a lot. tactically they're a good match, brains and brawn, but i can't see them getting much further without gabrielle pissing him entirely off or her turning on him.

monica, juliet, jeremiah... and freya. freya is literally so fucking funny it kills me. from her blog post i remember something about like best double act and i remember being like O_O manipulator! but no she's just dumb as bricks and somehow still hanging in there solely because she hasn't had the guts to go out and get injured in a fight. cracks me up.
rip juliet. i do like the way she went out. i feel as if we don't get enough of those - though underwhelming, they're painful and emotional and honestly as realistic as a fight scene death. and monica was just trying to do her best! that's gonna take such a toll on her later on as the guilt consumes her. i wonder how jeremiah's gonna deal with this, especially considering (if i recall correctly) he was the newest one to the alliance? freya's probably gonna cry for days. i'm excited for this new trio. especially since monica's probably gonna dip soon... HM

alaina's always been a favorite of mine (i say that like i didn't just binge this story in its entirety last night... lmfao) but yeah being the stereotypical mean girl with a dark backstory is WILD. chanel's great as ever, still dealing with the painful aftermath of seraphina's death and figuring out how she fits into the games as a loner... or in this case, a team with eimer now. and eimer, finally growing a pair! i like it. i had wondered how she was gonna deal with brandon deciding to fuck alaina just to spite her (and can i just say... while i did like brandon... blackmailing someone into having sex is definitely rape and i simply cannot stand for rapists so i'm on the FUCK brandon train). and look at her, growing outside of her shell and BACKSTABBING alaina. literally iconic. i'm excited to see where chanel and eimer go... maybe chanel can be the brains and eimer the brawn of this duo. never woulda thought i'd say that.

mariana... her pov was wild. i've never cared much for audrey but i have always considered her relationship with alex to be... interesting, at the very least. it does make sense that of course out of everyone here he'd find HER and the girls she chose to come with. but now mariana's death sticks out to me even more - did he do it just to spite audrey? because he actually thought it was a trap? because he needed to assert dominance? to scare her into becoming allies with him later on? there's so many things mariana's death could mean. fuck audrey and madison for abandoning her though. they SO could've stayed and offed alex instead. probably would've done worlds for audrey's self worth, too.

yeah... so my apologies about disappearing over pretty much this entire story but i'm finally up to date and know who people are now. i'm excited for the next update!

also might as well give a chart of the remaining people because why not.

mine: griffin
love: eimer freya
like: chanel gabrielle blake monica jeremiah
neutral: gerard alexander audrey madison
dislike: brandon

update soon!
Remus98 chapter 14 . 8/7/2020
Hiya! I promised to leave a review, so here i am. A little late perhaps, and i’ve admittedly only caught up with the Blake POVs, but i’m planning on reading up on the rest as soon as i can. Maybe then i can come back and summarize my thoughts on the people still standing, how ’bout that?

Anyway, I really like what you’ve done with my lil’ football player. I didn’t remember much about his personality and backstory when i first got into this story - I just recall me using the real world setting as an excuse to create the hot jock I wish I was back in high school, haha - but this was a very nice refresher. You’ve captured all of his major traits very nicely, enhanced them even. His athleticism, especially. I love how excited he got at seeing the sweatshirt in his bag. So cute! And the run-run-running. And how you’ve interwoven his schooling with some of the other characters. Does he find Brandon? My bby needs allies.

Also, a gun? Does he use that later? I hope he shoots some bishes.

Also again, have you changed up the original placements? It seems like it, I think it’s time to update my profile :)

Excited to read more of this. See you when i'm up to date… so soon… ish?
Spade chapter 19 . 8/7/2020
I'm all caught up after this!

I just want to say that you really deserve more recognition for your writing. Your dialogue is one of the freshest and most realistic I've ever seen in a story. Your small subtle details really shine and highlight these teenagers as realistic and grounded. This story and by an extension, you, deserve a lot more reviews and acknowledgement for what you've done.

Seeing Mariana get killed by Alexander was sad. The fact her allies abandoned her was realistic but also sad as Alexander is a real threat and determined to kill.

Alaina being killed by Eimer and Chanel as a duo was badass. It really sets them up for so much development and I am glad to see Alaina go. She was awful.

Juliet dying was also sad, particularly at the hands of Monica who seems rather nice.

Just know that I am eagerly awaiting an update and whilst I do not have an account, I'll be here to review more timely! Keep safe, sock-feet-and-stirring-sand, I wish you all the best.
Spade chapter 18 . 8/7/2020
Gwen and Yuto's combined death was rather tragic. Yuto was a super flawed but interesting character. You gave him such life that made him one of the most down to earth teenager. Gwen really didn't have a chance, but I'm glad they went out together.
Spade chapter 17 . 8/7/2020
I'm almost at the end.

Another great chapter. I remember reading this and being so confused about Wesley but then remembering he was the guy you added in due to shortness of numbers. Juliet killing him was a rather big plot driver for her. Seeing Harper die was also sad because she was so fiery and determined.
Spade chapter 16 . 8/7/2020
Dane turning on Doran was crazy. The gun. Jeremiah having to kill Dane because of it. Alexander going off the deep end and murdering Jackson. Intense.
Guest chapter 15 . 8/7/2020
This was intense. I'm not entirely sure what happened but Seraphina and Chanel's friendship was rather nice to see. The explosion was intense and you shrouded it in mystery. Their benefactor was nice to almost warn them. I wonder what will happen to traitors like that?
Spade chapter 14 . 8/7/2020
I'd be hard pressed to say that there was a year between these two chapters. They flow so consistently. You picked up right where we left off and your subtle details and creative flair really shone.
Guest chapter 13 . 8/7/2020
I can comment on the deaths this time.

It was an endearing end to Shane, voting himself out like that. Quincy, Giles and Nico were no shock, especially as Quincy had earned the ire of every other teenager.

Simone and Trina felt sad. They really didn't expect it to happen.
Spade chapter 12 . 8/7/2020
This is very Survivor. Voting people to die. Especially people you have known for years.
Spade chapter 11 . 8/7/2020
I've read this already, but man, I remember the intensity I felt when it was the first time. I was sweating. You feel built the suspense and tied things up nicely in the first half of this story.
Spade chapter 10 . 8/7/2020
As you can probably tell, I'm terrible at reviewing and offering constructive advice.

There's so much I could comment on this chapter but what I will say is that you are brilliant at this modern version. You really draw in so much detail and small intricate parts that make it feel so relatable and honest.
Spade chapter 9 . 8/7/2020
I'm also determined to review every chapter as I feel this story deserves more than it has gotten.

Once again, your ability to create realistic dialogue is envious. It particularly shone in Shane's section.
