Seems something iffy is happening and had been happening for a long time now in the Asari Republic.

What you wrote only made Uressa more fascinating. Of course, knowing this saga I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.

But if there's some entity that hops from body to body, generation after generation or so, I have to wonder what's the nature of the relationship between the host and the entity. Is it symbiotic, parasitic, a total takeover, something else? So many questions. What is its relationship with the Thirty? How does it changes hosts? Melds and simply 'pours' into a new body?

Of course, there's always the option it's all a red herring and there's no entity, only a long line of asari that try not to be a bunch of *&%$.

She gets a break from me for: "Uressa is particularly defensive of humanity and has repeatedly warned against trying to destabilize their government." Someone get her a chocolate bar and a nice shawl.

Jesus... this line, "having been one of three to stand at the side of Thana Vathan and use biotics to stop a powerful tidal wave..." makes me wonder who, exactly, is Thana and who was the other person (maybe Zia? or T'Armal?)! If you have the energy/desire, a write-up on Thana would be incredible! Your asari are so incredible, it's no wonder they lead the galaxy! I'm super happy you've shown us why, versus BioWare's just lackluster telling.

I find this the most fascinating of the STG Investigative Reports so far. I think this posed more questions than it answered, and I sincerely hope we learn at least some of the answers, either in the main story or an offshoot. Excellent little piece.

Well this is a fun little puzzle.

Clearly Uressa, like P., was altered by ancient tech. I think her being Athame reborn is an accurate assumption, given the deference she receives from the Thirty. I think the Prothean VI is able to transfer a template of Athame's Will into the mind of particularly receptive asari (super-beauty is present in those with the genetic markers, apparently).

This doesn't mesh well with Prothean imperialism, but, assuming the Protheans wanted the asari to be docile diplomats (when not used as biotic shock troops), Athame would have attempted to instill that in ancient and modern asari. You can also see, in her support of humanity and the asari exodus, that she may be setting the stage for the humari hybrids of the future (again, assuming that the merger was the Prothean plan all along).

The biggest wrinkle is her hatred of P. Clearly, given his Saren-like eyes, he was altered by Reaper tech or reverse-engineered Reaper tech (like the Arca monolith). This could just be latent programming to stop the Reapers and their thralls, given her her wish to purge him and his daughters. Who knows?

Your OC was forgettable before, but now she is extremely interesting. Well done.

P. and Uressa are clearly related. Both are entities that have sustained themselves by moving from body to body over the milennia. They are full opposites and hate each other.

If Uressa dies, some sort of balance is broken, which is apparently VERY BAD.

Though I am really curious as to what purpose Uressa has in the grand scheme of things. I would guess it has something to do with the protheans, but again, kinda vague what this all means in the long run of things.

And damn if this was not interesting to read. For every question answered you've just given me another one, and Uressa all the more fascinating. Her near total love for all living creatures, her total commitment to making the galaxy a better place the Moral way rather then the Evil way. The belief that all life is important. She truly is the most moral character in your series. THIS is the person who deserves, far more then any of the others, to be alive and running things when all is said and done.

You know, as weird and messed up as this sounds, I can honestly see why so many apparently worship this person. If I were in this setting I think I just might. She seems just simply...impossible. Far too Good for this setting. I'm sure there's A Lot that was not covered here, but I also (for whatever reason) believe there truly is something...Otherworldly...about this person.

She officially creeps the hell out of me. I've been thinking for a long time that she's some kind of embodiment of Athame and/or Vendetta. The delayed presentation maybe confirms that? But assuming that both remain Prothean-related, her behaviour is 180 degrees from that of Protheans. And of the Thirty in general. Reminds me of something mentioned in the Benezia's philosophy piece, about the reason why the Thirty betrayed or went against what was ordained for them.

I'm liking Uressa and P more than ever. I am curious why her death would result in the ruination of the Salarian Union though... Would the Asari go to war because of it or is there something else? I'm leaning towards something else because it always seems like there is something else. No idea what it could be though...

I'm not sure who P is exactly but now I'm kind of hoping that he is either someone pretending to be a turian or Uressa's first bondmate. I don't have any solid theories as of yet as to who he is, but I'm still holding out hope that he is Prothean and pulling the same sort of routine that Sara is at the moment. Then again, he probably wouldn't have sold her body to the Shadow Broker/Collectors if he was. Damn.
