Wow. Run Harry. This potter family is worse than the dursleys and have magic. Truly awful first impressions. I wouldn’t trust a single one of them. I can see why lily hated James if this was how his family operated. Maybe Harry being the last potter is a good thing. These awful genes can stop being passed down the main line.

As much as I enjoyed the author I was not impressed with the story itself.

If you wonder how that could be...while the story itself lacks in many ways the execution of what was written and the authors unique ideas and plots were outstanding.

Canon characters left a lot to be desired in the way the acted after the first 2 chapters based on the fact that the author used 4 years of canon characterization and then deviated so fantastically from that as to leave one in disbelief.

Outside of that the story is quite riveting if a bit off putting.

I'm torn on this story. Harry is now an asshole, Dumbledore is understandable but seriously Poppy!? Hermione is worse than canon, the Potter history and what changes Harry has not actually been explained despite what was said in an a/n, and scenes to make things believable seem to be getting less.

On the other hand, what is written is well done, the excessive drama has some direction and keeps the story fresh.

This is the dumbest most ridiculous “trial” I’ve ever read in HP fanfiction. Its like a child on drugs wrote this.

Went from promising to utterly ridiculous in one chapter. I’m so sad. I hope the next chapter had a good explanation for this crap.

Minor correction; Religious 'muggles' call the 31st October "All Hallows Eve" in reference to 1st November; "All Saints (or Hallowed) Day". The 2nd Nov being honoured as "All Souls Day". Difference is The Hallowed (Saints) are those souls in Heaven, not individually recognised as "saints". EG Saint Patrick, Saint Peter, Saint Mary Magdalene, Saint Agnes...
All Souls day honours, as the name states, all souls, whether in Heaven or Purgatory. NOT, to the best of knowledge, the lost souls in Hell but I'm open to correction being a lay person rather than a priest or theologian.

A small point. If you are not familiar with a language, don't use it—not even to modify it. 'Potters' is plural, therefore, 'Potters dormientes numquam titillandi.' Latin adjectives and verbs change in relation to their subjects. Alternatively, you could have left 'Potter' in the singular and nothing else would change; it would then be understood as 'A sleeping Potter...'
I have encountered far worse Latin, French, and German (excluding some atrocious English) on this web-site; I'm still reading and that is what counts.

On apprenticeships:
the numers of apprentices a master can use and educate relies seriously on the size and the setup of his shop.
My father as a heating craftsman usually had two apprentices, which most of the time went with the two senior journeymen.
There were few jobs, where one journeymen could use two apprentices at the same time, and during the summer break and sometimes on Saturdays I helped with these as an untrained helper.

Small shops without any journeyman usually take only one apprentice at a time.

In the company I work for, we can handle three apprentices, preferably one in each year. Having two apprentices in the same year is more work, and can create problems with the schedules.
