I was right there with Bella if Victoria ruined Jackie's first trip to the ballpark by giving him red and yellow, I was going to throttle her through my iPad. I'm so glad that Bella recognized what was happening and that Jackie was so comfortable with Bella that it was her that he backed up to in his time of need. Esme jumped right up too and got him cleaned off. I was expecting Victoria to lose her shit on that little boy. So glad she didn't. Or, that Esme and Bella didn't give her time to. The happiness on Jackie's face when his daddy got that home run and pointed to him in the crowed, was spectacular. Edward's lip quivered and you almost made me cry, sheesh. Loved his surprise for Bella. The suite that will be the quiet room, the job offer. I don't think he liked that she said she'd move out and I hope he changes her mind. Although, I think she wants to live by herself for once. Their ILY's were different, yet no less wonderful.

That was the worst way for the family to find out about Alice being pregnant. Jasper just let that spill out accidentally. Yikes. The way that Edward is so happy around Jackie is wonderful. What a great idea that Bella had for the headphones. Hopefully, people will carry around some extra batteries, just in case. I liked that he came down the stairs, all on his own doing, to join the family to watches that game. And, he's said he'll try to go to the actual game. That is just so great.

Wow, his family was completely different than expected. Not in a bad way, just a very non canon way. Alice and Edward were so close to canon, I figured the family was also. That was fun to read. I'm glad be felt chagrined at not having asked her to be his date to the charity event. Just assumed she would be. Hopefully, there is time for her to get a good dress.

Yay, a Victoria free chapter, woo-hoo! I loved the playfulness of their conversation and the texts after his game that first night. Her dressed in the jersey and a cap, totally sexy, for him. He loved that. I liked that he came home and didn't want it to be only sex and he was going to hold off . . . she was having none of that. Very fun. Then I liked the changing the grocery list, having the staff meeting and his announcement. I figured that was the exact reason he closed down at the park and didn't snap out of it. I'm glad she went in search of him and made him talk. They definitely need to work on communication. Especially if anything I've said in any of my guesses in reviews with Victoria happen. They will need to communicate and come out stronger, as opposed to them letting it pull them apart. That would be the ultimate slap in Victoria's face, if it backfires. I'm really, really hoping that Jackie accepts Bella. I think he will but, you could surprise me.

Interesting that Riley came in immediately after Victoria to the shoot. I'm thinking they were together and that's why they showed up together. She's the 'friend' Riley was meeting for brunch when Bella came out of the book shop. Victoria perfectly placed herself to take a convenient photo of them together, making Edward flip the fuck out. Thirty years ago I had a very verbally abusive boyfriend. Bella did the right thing leaving him there in his fury. Trying to get away from him. Unfortunately he followed her. At least they talked it out and he's seeing his shrink again. I am really hoping that Edward starts to see how Victoria is completely setting Bella up to take a perfectly planned fall for her. Bella needs to start telling him of the way she speaks to her when Edward's not there to see it. She's almost a different person when Edward is in the room. That photo shoot sounds like it was amazing. Wish we could see the photos. Their first time was great. I do worry if he's been tested though. After all, his most recent girlfriend was Victoria who's known all over baseball as a whore. She can't possibly be clean. Could you even imagine Bella getting infected with Victoria germs. Yuck!

Hmmm, I still really worry about Victoria. I think she has plans for Edward that Edward is not wanting, nor aware of. I think Riley may be on Victoria's team in this. I fear that he will put things in the article and then say Bella was the one to tell him these things, when it was Victoria. I seriously hope that Edward demanded final approval on it. However, with Victoria as the teams PR person, she can veto Edward and put what she wants in there . . . after he looked at it by switching it out. Causing all claims Edward would have through his attorney that 'he gave final approval' when he gave it to a completely different article. Then he will think that Bella truly said the things printed, therefore destroying the trust they have, when she would never ever do such a thing. It would be the perfect way for Victoria to rid Edward of Bella and she can swoop in and 'save the day'. Alice is pregnant and was about to tell both Angela and Bella, when Edward interrupted. I liked the pool tryst they had. Although it was funny that Edward came before Bella. How embarrassing for him. Yes, he made it up to her but, that was their first time with anything sexual, he should really be mortified.

Bella and Edward are cute in their blossoming relationship. That kiss was really something. I don't think it is a good idea to have Bella share Edward's bed while the family is staying with him. Why can't Bella stay at Alice's house nearby, while the parents are there? She is his employee, it just looks wrong. Plus, Bella certainly wouldn't take issue with the way Alice's house is architectural photo ready and wouldn't be judging Alice and Jasper for their relationship like her parents would. Too new for Bella and Edward to be sleeping together in front of his parents. Yes, it is the double standard practice of parents everywhere. So while Edward gets a pass, Alice does not. If his mother takes exception to Alice living in sin with Jasper . . . would she not think awful things about Bella for doing the same? Not the best foot to start on when meeting the parents. Alice made me nervous thinking that Edward will screw this up after all. I didn't like reading that part. It was very sweet of him to go to Jake's shop and ask permission to date Bella. Little old fashioned, yet cute. I like that he also took time to apologize to Jake for the way he acted the night he brought Bella home. I like that he calls/face times her from the road and they talk before bed.

I really, really, really liked their date. All of it. I loved them rocking out to Def Leppard on their way there. I love Italian food and that sounded like an amazing dinner. The private cabana. Then that amazing goodnight kiss at the end. Then her swooning and his words, gah! Very, very good chapter.

That was rather refreshing that Edward took Victoria out of the room to reprimand her. I thought for sure he was going to let her continue to belittle Bella the whole time. I can see Victoria out bidding everyone for that date with Edward at the auction. Maybe Alice will bid against her? Couldn't you just trade away Victoria to NY or something. Yes, I do know she is not a player and can't be traded the way a player can but, I just want her annoying character to go away already. I liked the idea of the married men being auctioned off to do errands in lieu of a date. I knew she'd turn down the money for the name. She wouldn't be her if she didn't.

Good grief, his temper is a ticking time bomb. His mood swings match his temper. She should run and never look back. He says he doesn't lie but, she saw Victoria in that towel in his room. She's supposed to just believe him? I guess she can just give him the benefit of a doubt. However, I am sure Victoria knew exactly what she was doing with parading in front of that camera in nothing but a towel. She probably heard Bella speaking with Edward and took the opportunity to do just what she did. She may even tell Bella she's a fool if she believes Edward and that she really was naked and they'd just finished being reacquainted. He said/she said. Who are you going to believe, right?

Yes, all of those things she just said. He is playing with her and flirting with her one minute, being cold and pushing her away the very next. And, she also called it with Victoria. I bet you she made sure topping out how stupid he would be to do anything with an employee, just to ensure Edward was still there for the picking for herself. I am glad Bella called Edward out on all of it. Let him think about exactly what he just did. Think about it for a few very long days too. Asshat.

I'd love a stadium dog right about now. Thanks for that craving, lol. I knew Victoria wanted Edward but, I did not know that Edward and her had dated in the very recent past. That will be problematic for sure. She seems the type that will pitch all kinds of fits to get what she wants. Plus, she is related to an owner and that owner may be one to give her everything she wants. Meaning, if she wants Edward gone from the Card's, she may get just that. Although, the team would be stupid to let him go. Or, she could publicly humiliate him since she handles the teams press. Not looking forward to her meddling at all. I really don't like when women overstay their welcome and won't let go. It is really, really pathetic. He has moved on. Alice was wonderful in all of it. She did give Bella food for thought. All things she needs to know going in. All things she needs to think about if she wants to jump in with him too.

I'm wondering if h'll make her drive a 'company' vehicle in lieu of her truck while working for him. One I'm sure will be in the driveway for her soon. She was funny innher hiding from him so long. I really rather liked his analogy of women and how they 'pitch'. Very good. Also glad for the interruption of Alice and Jasper before they kissed. That needs to happen at a much better time.

Well, considering she signed a NDA contract I don't think she should be talking in public to her friends like that. Who knows who could be listening or recording. She shouldn't be telling them any of this but, at least do it in private or over the phone. Never ever in public. She may get bit in the ass for that. I liked that she hugged and congratulated Alice the way she did. Bella made assumptions and she was treating Alice horribly as a result of that. I'm happy she made nice with her.

Finally! That was a very long time coming. Whew. I'm so glad he cleared the air. I also liked that he admitted to flirting with her. And, she was a wee bit oblivious to it. She thought back on it though and in hindsight, it was flirting. I noticed it but, she was so sidetracked with him being married to Alice and Alice cheating on him, that she didn't notice it herself. There is an ex out there, Lauren. I'm glad she's an ex. Maybe that was his son after all? Maybe it was Jasper's nephew and it's just easier for Alice to say nephew over my fiancé's nephew . . . because if she said that, it would taken the wife confusion away. Suppose I will find that out later.p on in the story.
