I really liked Minerva in canon but I can't help to think she is a bit insane. Who in their right mind send a bunch of eleven years old kids to a forest filled with dangerous creatures to investigate a case of unicorn deaths just because they were out in curfew time? She was crazy.

Ron is a prat but his jealousy is in part fault of his parents, there is nothing wrong with being poor and humble but in the first book Arthur and Molly give Ron a second hand old wand while at the same time they buy Percy a new owl to because he was a prefect.

It's the third time I cried because of what and how you tell this amazing story. Masterfully done.

To have one girlfriend is nice, to have two girlfriends at the same time, is a disaster first class. To have even more, you, as a male, die. but what a way to go, not?

This first chapter is quite an interesting start on a story. And I like the idea of skipping the first two years too. Have to get ready for work now but will definitely continue reading later in the day.

Yeah, no. I'm sorry. You broke the suspension of disbelief with this chapter. You already pushed it with that half ass excuse of how Harry keeps coming back, but this chapter is just ass.

1st point: The Azkaban escapees... you literally had them be broken out and then immediately thrown into their raid and then hold their own against a equally powered but numerically superior force... the fuck are you smoking? If people could come out of Azkaban and be ready to throw down will fully trained witches and wizards, not to mention aurors and curse breaker, then Azkaban wouldn't be Azkaban, it'd be a private retreat with a personal trainer. It took Harry months to do his healing rituals.

2nd point: wE wErE bEtRaYeD bY aLeCtO... no shit. You thought that she'd just be totally okay with just leaving them alone after the events of the graveyard? They still trusted her? How the hell did Alecto, or any of the DEs, even know about the meeting in the first place? That just doesn't seem like something they'd advertise. This is just another massive crack in the situation just like the Azkaban escapees actually being combat ready immediately.

3rd point: I get that the Good Guys don't always win, so there being deaths on the "good side" is fine and makes a bit of sense. The Notts being killed is actually fine, it allows more character development for Theo and therefore a purpose to the story as a whole. The Carrow parents are a bit hit or miss, but it did provide a good scene for the twins to beat Alecto, so maybe only one of them should have died. But the Davis' was just piss poor story writing. There was no good reason to kill them and then the way they die is just stupid. Whole team of defenders and Dolohov can just snatch them BOTH from across the room and noone can do anything? But the DEs can shield anything and everything. Like, really?

4th point: Tracy controlling Fiendfyre? ! You know what else is bullshit.. that STILL no more DEs died from that. And that brings us to...

5th point: Alecto is the only DE that died and it was none of the rescue squad that did it. This goes back to a couple of previously stated things. The DEs had just gotten out of Azkaban and they were met with even force and generally superior numbers. The fact that none of them died is just bullshit. Augusta should have killed and at least maimed the Lestrange brothers, Jorgensen should have just died, there was no point in him surviving. And you are having Junior just be an evil version of Harry that can just do anything... Kinda throwing the balance of the fights with him.

There are positives, the specific plot points aside, the writing itself was great; the fights, the descriptions, the healing. All that was great. It's just WHAT you had happen with it all that ruins it.

Where the actual fuck is this idea of banishment even coming from? It's like you're making the whole of Gryffindor stoop to the level that you made Ron for no reason and completely out of the blue. This is just more of that needless drama. This isn't enhancing your story, it's just bogging it down with pointlessness.

I really wanted to get to the Fleur part, but at this rate I really might not be able to.
