I think the exquisite power in your writing lies in its ambivalence - both propelling the reader to experience great discomfort and pleasure at the same time? There are so many layers at work, small details woven into the story - but it's an impossible enjoyment because there's so much unease. You're doing an excellent job - I wasn't sure if I'd read through the story because of how uncomfortable it was making me but I've made it so far and I'm excited to see where it goes, dark, disturbing and all of that.

I always love a good story of degredation, and you have masterfully crafted one. Your Hermione show both the innocence of her age, but the cunning of her knowledge in such a breathtaking way. I want her to both kill Tom and give into him, keep her innocence and outwit him and join him and flourish under his tutelage. I feel the push and pull in such a conflicting way! Bravo!

So, I apologize I may be one of those who is too weak to go on. I'm sorry! Your writing is beautiful and the characters and dialogue are great. I love the little things you insert all the details with the books, the weird subtle exchanges between these two, the tie. that was um hot. haha. Unfortunately Hermione is kind of treading into waters that are too far from my head canon to follow. I've actually had a morbidly sick fascination with serial killers after starting your fic tbh.

But the more I watch documentaries on these types the more I don't think I can keep on with this story. I'd love the idea for Tom to turn into some Dexter type, but they aren't really in any forensic type roles to really be playing vigilante so unfortunately it more than likely will be headed in areas too dark for my comfort range. His urges and hers going to far into psychotic territories I'd rather hope people didn't fantasize about. lol. I do love the like illicit, secret affair aspects, though in my head I'm like Hermione's 17. Lol. but I'm not sure I'm ready for anything more than that.
