It's rare for a story to keep the thing that makes them special when they go on for so long. I started reading this because I enjoy The Gamer quite a bit and I stuck around because I was entrenched in the zany antics and whatnot that were displayed in the quest to save random White Fang members. I stuck around for the first of the White Whale. I was entranced by the Jaune vs Penny fight, Jaune vs Pyrrha, Jaune vs Goliath, and Jaune saving Wiess. When it got to the whole talk of entropy and ten years 'till disaster, it started to lose me but I stuck around, then we got to the Pandora Shell. At first, I didn't like it at all, (Brought back to memories of Xcom) however, it slowly grew on me and I approved, then it had the touching moments with Jaune and his dad and was shaping up to be a fantastic win for team Jaune! But then it wasn't. I knew he was going to die, so it wasn't too surprising, and there has been a crap ton of foreshadowing leading to the reveal of the BBEG, but that started something that only finished after Ruby was discovered as a Rider. Where most of the story has highs and lows after that it feels stagnant like a sharp world of bright color fading into a hazy monochrome. It feels depressing, not sad just kind of a long-drawn-out meh.

Henceforth I will be taking a break from reading this to find a story that gives me good feelings or perhaps one that has the right ship.

mhmm my dislike for this is increasing because of course Blake tells Adam about the Mc powers tbh I just hope that this all comes back to bite the Mc in the ass so he learns a lesson from all this.

my mind can't comprehend why the Mc just told a girl he's barely know for a week all his abilities and main secret, like ya she's a part of the main cast but he doesn't know that or if she can be trusted this is just plain stupid of him and I truly hope it's not like this further down the line. Also don't take what I've said as the book being bad it's been alright so far just some stupid decision making so far.
